Chapter 43 - Chapter 43

"Wife, I'm a little unhappy. What do you think I should do?"

You're unhappy? Go ahead and be unhappy, what does it have to do with me? Pearl Su cursed silently.

She felt someone rubbing against her, and suddenly a sharp pain on her shoulder. She turned her head and saw that this man had bitten her.

Is he a dog? Why is he biting people?

Pearl Su was full of frustration and snapped, "What are you doing? You bit me!"

Alaric Yun let go, looked at her with a pitiful expression, and said, "I'm unhappy."

…So just because you're unhappy, you can bite me…

With a cold face, she said, "You're not allowed to bite me."

"But I'm unhappy…"

What does your unhappiness have to do with me?

She said again in a cold tone, "No biting."

"But I'm unhappy."

...

Long silence.

...

Alaric Yun finally said, "Alright, wife, I'm not upset anymore."

He rubbed his face against her shoulder. "Can I hold you?"

Before Pearl Su could react, he wrapped his long arms around her tightly, nearly making her lose her breath.

Pearl Su angrily pushed his hands away but then paused in surprise.

She could move. The acupoint had been released!

She felt a surge of joy. When his long arms came over again, she quickly pulled them away with all her strength.

Annoyed, she said, "Don't hug me. I can't breathe."

Alaric Yun paused, then smiled and asked, "How about I hug you more gently?"

His long arms came back again.

Pearl Su...

Fine, let him hug if he wants. Otherwise, he'll never stop.

The whole afternoon passed like that.

When it was time for dinner, the food was brought in: stewed deer blood meat, braised pork, pan-fried fish, salted duck, stuffed tofu, and pigeon with bamboo fungus soup.

Alaric Yun tried to carry Pearl Su to the table again.

Pearl Su quickly dodged. "I'll walk myself. I don't need your help."

Alaric Yun froze. His eyes darkened as he watched her walk away, then slowly stood up.

At the table, the two ate quietly. Alaric Yun kept picking dishes for her.

"Wife, eat this deer blood. It's good for your blood."

"Wife, this deer meat is great for strength."

"Wife, this braised pork is delicious."

"Wife, try the pan-fried fish, it smells so good."

"Wife, the duck tastes amazing."

"Wife, the stuffed tofu is really good too."

"Wife, drink some soup. It's nourishing."

"Wife, have another piece of fish…"

Pearl Su finally lost her patience and said coldly, "Eat your own food. I'll eat mine." She had hands and feet, after all.

Alaric Yun's hand holding the chopsticks stiffened, his knuckles turning white. Then he let go and said softly, "Okay."

They finished dinner in silence.

Pearl Su wanted to take a walk to digest. She opened the door.

She was stunned to see five people guarding outside.

The five men saw it was her and immediately bowed. "Greetings, Madam."

Pearl Su ignored them and walked forward. The five men quickly stepped in and formed a wall to block her.

Seeing this, Alaric Yun, who was behind her, waved at them. The five men instantly stepped aside and cleared the way.

Pearl Su found it strange. She looked back and saw Alaric Yun behind her, understanding the situation. She turned her head and continued walking.

Behind her, Alaric Yun waved again. The five men leapt away and vanished.

Alaric Yun glanced at the slow-moving figure in front of him, then followed her, strolling side by side in the courtyard.

Pearl Su felt that she had walked enough to digest her food, so she stopped strolling and headed back inside. Alaric Yun followed closely behind.

When they reached the room, Pearl Su noticed the guards were gone. She raised an eyebrow in surprise and went in.

After sitting inside for a while, Pearl Su opened the door and saw the five guards back in place. She gave them an order, "Prepare a bath for me." Then she closed the door again.

Alaric Yun said, "If Madam wants to bathe, you can just tell me. I'll have them prepare it."

Pearl Su glanced at him without speaking.

I just didn't want to tell you. That's why I told them instead.

Not long after, someone outside the curtain reported that the bath water was ready.

Pearl Su picked up her clothes and went to bathe. As she arrived at the bath area, she saw Alaric Yun also carrying clothes and following her.

She glared at him. "Why are you coming here? Leave immediately."

Alaric Yun replied, "Naturally to bathe with Madam. I'll help you. Don't worry, I won't cross any lines. I'll just help scrub your back and wash your feet."

Pearl Su didn't want to hear another word. She said coldly, "Leave now. Don't make me angry, or you'll deal with the consequences."

Alaric Yun stared at her, stunned, his handsome face full of grievance.

"Out…" Seeing him like that made Pearl Su's head start to ache. Her expression turned icy again as she spoke.

Maybe truly afraid of making her angry, Alaric Yun looked pitiful but obedient and said softly, "Alright. Madam, enjoy your bath. I'll leave."

Once he left, Pearl Su rubbed her forehead to calm the pain, feeling frustrated as she undressed to bathe.

As evening fell and the moon rose high, Alaric Yun finished bathing and came in wearing white sleepwear. He climbed into bed and immediately pulled Pearl Su, who was sitting, into his arms.

"Madam, smell the fragrance on me. Doesn't it smell nice?"

Pearl Su thought: rose scent. Isn't it the same as mine? What's so great about it?

She reached up and removed his heavy arm from around her.

But his arm came back automatically. "Madam, your scent is nice too. Mine smells just like yours."

"Mm… Madam smells so good!" Alaric Yun rubbed his face against her neck, inhaling deeply.

His hot breath landed on her neck. Pearl Su, irritated, tried to push his head away. "Keep your distance."

But she couldn't move him.

"No. Madam smells so nice. I don't want to leave."

"Move…" Pearl Su used her other hand to push him harder, but he held on tightly.

Alaric Yun's lips finally touched her neck and he started kissing.

The stronger Pearl Su pushed, the more he didn't budge.

As he kissed her more fiercely, she heard his low, husky voice by her ear. "Madam, I want you." The kisses on her neck became more intense.

Pearl Su's heart sank. She used all her strength to push him away, but it didn't work. Her heart kept sinking.

Feeling the burning heat from his body, Pearl Su spoke in a calm, cold tone. "If you force me, are you ready to experience what I'm capable of again?"

Alaric Yun froze, then slowly lifted his head from her neck. He moved it to rest against her left collarbone, his voice full of grievance. "Madam, I want you."

Pearl Su was furious. You want, so I should want too? She pushed him away angrily.

Alaric Yun was shoved aside, his face full of hurt. He tried to cling to her again, but she pushed him away once more.

Finally, he sat on the side, helpless. Pearl Su saw it was finally quiet and let out a breath of relief.

They sat in silence for a long time.

Eventually, Pearl Su felt sleepy. She lay down and said, "I'm tired. You should sleep too."

Hearing that, Alaric Yun's gloomy energy finally faded. He looked at Pearl Su's back and his eyes darkened quietly.
