SYNOPSIS

First day of boarding school is what every high schoolers dream of (those in senior secondary school 1) but not me, why? it's simple I'm going to a freaking military school.

According to my dad this military school is not the regular military school we all know with strict and insane schedules. But a school built for the upper echelon who are concerned about their children safety so there will be many omobottiii(spoilt Rich kids) 

I won't say I'm not part of the omobottiii community, but I think in the upper society like the class of classes we are considered middle class,my dad is a military commander.

The only good thing of this school is the mad and insane connections of people there. What do you mean the president grandson attends the school too. Like I've seen him once or twice but from a Mile away. He is a flirt, he's cute and apparently the top tire student so that justify his behavior I think.

Sorry for not introducing myself my name is Melanie uchechukwu Bernard and yes I'm an Igbo girl.

Welcome to THE ACADEMY,the principal said while shaking hands with my dad.


The academy of what? I whispered. The principal chuckled and I felt embarrassed


You're not the first person saying this, but that's the name,the principal told me.


This is miss Anabelle she is the hostel mistress of house of Platinum,let her know if you're having any difficulty I will leave you two to communicate the principal said before walking away with my dad


Hi I'm Melanie uchechukwu Bernard,I introduced myself to miss Anabelle


Let's go over the rules shall we,miss Anabelle said


Second: classes start by 8:30am and each duration is 45 minutes


Third: you are offering every subject and school closes by 2:30 and you must join a club


I was barely listening to what miss Anabelle was saying I was jet lagged I had to fly from Lagos to Abuja and besides all this was already on the school portal I don't understand why she keeps rambling and rambling and who gives a high schooler a carton of condoms and packet of contraceptives.


If you run out of those you can always ask for more miss Anabelle said as she handed me my id card and room key.


Monday, I sighed as I off the alarm. Around 7am I was ready for school. Breakfast starts by 7 and ends by 8.
