Bmon stared at Keisuke and Kuromi before pointing downward. "...Wanna explain why we are mountain climbing?"
Kuromi glanced at Keisuke. "Don't you remember, Bmon? It's part of our assignment for next week! We have to take a picture of the summit, once we get up there anyway…" Keisuke told him.
Bmon sighed. "Okay… I get that, but why did you bring two people who are generally unfit-" He paused as he noticed Kuromi froze up. "...Two people who are generally… "Unable to climb mountains without getting exhausted"."
Keisuke laughed. "Pffh… Well, it was due to the drawing we had. Whoever got the colored sticks out of the drawing had to go with me, and you two were the lucky ones to get those two sticks."
Bmon sighed. "...Lucky, huh? We will be really lucky if a bear doesn't show up and chase us…"
"Ha! What is the chance of that happening-" Keisuke paused as he heard a sound from behind him coming from bushes.
"...Kuromi, you haven't spoken at all. Are you okay?" Bmon asked as Keisuke approached the bush slowly.
She nodded. "...D-Don't worry about me… I-I'm just exhausted from how much we've had to climb-" Suddenly, a bear jumped out at Keisuke. Kuromi jumped back and fainted, only for Bmon to catch her.
"...Okay, you jinxed it dumbass. And I don't wanna alarm you but the only ability we have here that can stop a bear is yours, however if you use it you will burn the forest down!" Bmon shouted at him.
The bear tried to attack Keisuke, to which he dodged swiftly "T-Then what do you expect us to do!?"
"...The reasonable thing to do in this situation, Keisuke. That is… RUN THE HELL AWAY!" He put Kuromi on his back and started running as fast as possible. Keisuke quickly followed.
They looked behind and saw the bear running toward them just as fast. "D-Dude, the bear is not going to just stop chasing us!"
Bmon tried to think of ways to get rid of the bear before noticing a large cavern through the trees. "Go toward that large cave! Maybe we can hide from it there!"
They ran toward the cave all the while dodging the bear's relentless attempts at attacking them, it made several trees fall down in the process. "W-Wait, Bmon! Why don't I just use explosions once we get inside the cave!?"
Bmon stared at him as they were running. "...ARE YOU STUPID? Do you realize that would kill us as well if it caused the cave to collapse?!" He shouted.
"...Oh, that's a… Good point." Bmon facepalmed as they reached the cavern they went in and glanced outside. "Okay… Maybe it's gone-"
Bmon paused as they saw the bear still charging toward the cave. "Shit… How are we supposed to get away now-" He stopped as he noticed a giant hole in the middle of the cavern. He looked to the side and saw a small passageway, humans could fit through it for sure… But bears on the other hand…
He smirked. "Hey, Keisuke… I have a great plan… This cave is dark as hell so the bear won't realize until it's too late, follow me."
Keisuke raised an eyebrow before following him, once they made it to the other side of the cave Bmon laid Kuromi down on the floor. "Okay, watch and learn this is how you deal with an animal that wants to kill you."
He took a moment to breathe before shouting. "Hey, come over here you stupid bear! I bet you want to have human meat don't you!?"
The bear was alerted by the noise and began charging even quicker into the cavern, it took more seconds for the bear to realize afterward that it was no longer standing on ground. It fell down the hole that was seemingly endless.
Bmon laughed. "Take that! And that is why, you don't run into a dark room without checking your surroundings first."
Keisuke laughed nervously. "...Y'know… You're kind of scary, man…"
Kuromi slowly opened her eyes as she realized she was now in a cave, she jumped back slightly. "H-Huh?! W-Why are we in a cave…?"
Bmon turned to face her. "Long story short, one bear, chase scene, the bear fell down a seemingly endless hole. In other words, we avoided getting murdered by a bear. But, you did pass out right as it appeared."
"Oh… Thanks I guess…" She nodded.
"No problem. Now we just gotta get to the summit to take that picture for the assignment." They went out of the cave and went toward the summit.
Meanwhile… The bear woke up on a flower bed and looked around in confusion before going toward some kind of entrance.
At the same time… Somewhere in Hokkaido, A scientist was preparing to build a portal utilizing a blueprint.
A man approached the scientist. "Yo, Haru. When will it be ready?"
He blinked for a moment. "...You don't pay me to give you estimates… But I would say it will take at most 2 years. It is a very complex means of transportation to other universes after all." Haru shrugged.
He nodded in response. "Great… In the meantime, I will go find individuals who share our purpose."
The scientist tilted his head slightly. "...I don't share your goal though… You just pay me to be here."
He laughed. "Don't worry about it… Just keep doing your job and we won't have any problems."
Haru had a sudden thought. "Ryuji… Is this portal safe…?
He stopped laughing. "...Um… I think so, our benefactor won't hurt us unless we try to kill the one he wants to kill."
Haru paused. "...Um… What is your goal anyway, you never told me the specifics…"
"...OH! I did forget, didn't I…" He laughed for a moment. "Well…" Ryuji quickly moved closer and placed a hand on Haru's shoulder. "...I want to destroy this world. And others, if possible… You don't have a problem with that… Right?" He grinned, slightly tightening his grip.
Haru quickly shook his head as if he was startled. "Y-Yep! No problems here, boss!"
"...Don't call me boss again…" Ryuji sighed before walking toward an abandoned office building.
Meanwhile… At Bmon's house.
Buster heard a knock on the door and quickly walked over and opened it. The mailman gave him their mail while nodding, he then left toward another house.
He noticed a letter in the pile of mail and opened it and read the contents. "Hello, Buster. Sorry in advance… But we decided to have our short vacation in Jimmens, in a day we will arrive at your house and stay there for a week."
He blinked slightly. "...Could've given me more of a warning by texting me…" He sighed while going back inside.
