[Note: This is the beginning framework. We'll expand it into a 50,000+ word novel with chapters, full dialogue, and rich world-building. Here's the prologue and part of Chapter 1. More chapters will be written as we progress.]

Prologue: Whispers Beyond the Gate
Two million years before mankind rose from the dust, a war raged in a realm beyond time. A being known only as the King arrived through a rift, spreading corruption across an ancient world - the SCP World. To stop him, the last of the uncorrupted SCPs created a gatekeeper: SCP-001, a monstrous being forged from the sacrifice of 500 powerful SCP entities. This creature was sealed with a single purpose: to guard the portal to Earth.
But secrets never stay buried. And when the Foundation disturbed the vessel, they didn't realize they were waking a god.
Unknown to the humans, the corrupted SCPs that had escaped to Earth had begun a new horror. They could mind-control humans, infecting them as hosts by planting parasitic eggs within their bodies. When these eggs hatched, the human vessels perished, giving birth to new, twisted SCPs - stronger and more hostile than ever. But not all could be infected. The hero, his team, and a few scattered survivors were somehow immune. This immunity made them prime targets - not for control, but for elimination.
SCP-001, the Gatekeeper, was corrupted from birth. His purpose was singular: protect the Gate at all costs. If uncorrupted, he would have sacrificed himself for the greater good without hesitation. But corruption twisted that purpose into obsession - he would guard the Gate against all, including those who sought to close it forever.

Chapter 1: The Invisible Visitor
Ethan Drake didn't believe in dreams - not the way others did. To him, they were like echoes: strange, distant, and meaningless. That changed the night he met the man in the black suit.
It was just past 3:17 a.m. when Ethan woke up in a cold sweat. The room was quiet, too quiet. He looked around - nothing out of place in his apartment. Still, the feeling lingered: that he'd spoken with someone who shouldn't exist.
The man in the suit had called himself Astraeus, and his voice carried weight. Not loud, but heavy. Like thunder whispered through velvet.
"You've been chosen," Astraeus had said. "To stop what's already begun."
Ethan tried to laugh it off. Chosen? For what? He was just a data analyst for a small government contractor in New York., not a soldier or a savior. But in his dream - no, his vision - he had seen things. Strange containment chambers. Creatures made of shadow. A red-hued world with screaming skies.
And the symbol: three arrows surrounding a circle. It burned itself into his mind.
When he searched for it the next morning, he found it on obscure conspiracy forums and encrypted message boards. It was always referred to with fear - the logo of the SCP Foundation.
That's when Ethan's life began to unravel.

> 🔹 Note from the author:
I'm still improving as a writer, and the story gets much better from Chapter 7 onward — deeper characters, more intense twists, and way darker vibes.
Thanks for giving it a shot 💙
