(Before you start reading I should mention this novel will get really violent later in the story first time writing by the way.)
I wake up groggy as ever. I turn off the phone alarm before rubbing my eyes and sitting up in bed. I remain like that for a few seconds, letting my eyes adjust to the morning sunshine. I stand up, still half asleep—too lazy for my own good—but I'll never admit it to anyone but myself. After all, why should I let them judge me? I am my own person.
