Inside the waiting car, Qin Yue had been gripping the door handle so tightly his knuckles turned white.
Just as his mind began coming up with several negative possibilities, two familiar figures appeared from the far end of the road.
Qin Yue's hanging heart was instantly soothed. Fortunately they didn't get caught.
As he waited, his anxiety of getting caught increased the closer they got.
Finally, they both made it to the car without any problems and Hanguang Zhe got into the driver's seat.
Xu Wei went to the back and Qin Yue pulled him into a tight hug, separating after a few seconds.
Xu Wei rubbed his nose.
"Well that was awkward."
Qin Yue rolled his eyes.
"Are you okay?"
Xu Wei shrugged.
"Can't say I'm perfect but can't say I'm not."
"So..you're fine"
Lowering his voice, he pointed at Hanguang Zhe in the front.
"Since when did you get so chummy with him?"
"It's.."
"A long story?"
"Well yes."
"I thought as much"
Qin Yue pursed his lips.
