Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

BRUK!

The body of the chained man was slammed roughly into the iron bars in the middle of the city square, drawing the attention of people who crowded around him. Those red eyes stared sharply at the other man called the ruler of the sky. Disgusting! He scoffed. Glorious light, he said? That man was nothing more than a parasite nesting in sanctity.

A thick mask covered his despicable face. The face full of deceit of the one called light, whose nature was worse than a headless beast. A devil is a cursed being? He is the curse itself! Bastard who writes history like writing a fantasy novel. Truly, the light on his face was utterly nauseating.

He closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh, holding back the surge of hatred within him. Then, those eyes opened again, catching seven figures standing among the crowd, who gazed with hope even though they knew their Lord would soon lose himself. Seeing their foolishness made him laugh, drawing the attention of the ruler of the sky.

"Why are you laughing? Have you gone mad?"

The ruler of the sky's question stopped his laughter, and he looked up. His white hair swayed gently as the wind blew. Leaves passed over his wounded, chained body, as if nature represented itself to help cover his pain.

"Their foolishness makes me want to let out a laugh for the last time." He glanced again at the seven figures standing among the crowd.

"Pathetic. You, who are so worshipped and became the strongest, now kneel before them so shamefully."

He, whose only his smile was visible, shook his head slowly with his face lowered and said, "I am not the strongest, but 'he' the ruin. As his father, I cannot stop him either," He stood, stretching his hands until the sound of chains clashing was heard with a challenging face while saying, "If you give love, then peace will come. And if you give wounds, then the destruction of the world is what you will receive. The time... starts now!"

The sound of bells echoed to all directions. People hurried back and forth quickly. The stomping of feet sounded like a hammer striking. The sun turned to moon like the turning of a wheel. Buildings changed structure, marking that year after year had passed. People forgot the darkness and began to worship the light. Yet war, still existed in this era.

Buum!

Gruduk!

Jder!

Lightning struck with its ear-piercing sound. Flashes of magic in the sky like stars falling very fast. Several explosions occurred up there due to the clash of magic. The color of war adorned that day. Destruction truly occurred. Magic that was avoided fell crashing into the buildings below, creating a sea of fire and destruction everywhere. People ran and screams wailed loudly. Children left behind on the streets cried loudly in a commotion. There was no more place to take shelter.

In the sky? No! Up there was more terrifying. Thousands of magics shot at the speed of light. The mana of darkness and light clashed against each other. Some of their users chased each other into the narrowest alleys. They flew like eagles hunting each other.

"Lucifer!"

Lucifer, flying with his black wings, turned his head, seeing the man he hated so much chasing behind him. Several times that man launched attacks, but he managed to avoid them. In the narrow alley, Lucifer decided to stop with an arrogant face.

"I acknowledge your worthiness as the ruler of the sky and King of the gods, Galadriel."

Galadriel stopped not far before Lucifer, staring at him with full anger. The fallen angel had not lost his cunning. The fall, then became the first great devil. Dangerous. Lucifer was a black rose with thorns.

"Stop running like a rat, because you will not be able to escape me, Lucifer."

"Then, how about your difficulty all this time chasing me, oh despicable god?"

"You..."

"...How can a Lord not catch a crow?" Lucifer's soft, charming laugh was heard.

"HHHA... HHHA..!" Galadriel's thunderous laughter stopped Lucifer's laughter. "Look behind you before boasting."

Lucifer turned behind him. Dozens of sky gods had chained his six friends, and killed many demon people. The sky gods flying not far above there gazed with victory toward Lucifer.

"Die, Lucifer!"

Lucifer quickly turned around, witnessing the light from Galadriel's attack heading toward him very fast. The wind gathering around the trajectory of the attack made it difficult for him, until finally the attack landed on his heart. Slowly, Lucifer turned back behind him, seeing the sky gods up there landing the same attack on his six friends.

Lucifer's body collapsed, followed by the slamming of his six friends' bodies. Galadriel then approached, staring arrogantly at Lucifer. "How unfortunate. You, who were so perfect, now look so pitiful."

"Shut up, you bastard!"

"Accept your end, Lucifer."

"Galadriel...!" Lucifer tried to get up, but his body collapsed again. He could only kneel while staring at Galadriel with full hatred. "We will return! We will return with the ruin! At that time, I will surely kill you!"

Galadriel watched as Lucifer collapsed face down and then died. "What a pity. I can only kill your body, not your soul." He gazed at the dark sky that flashed with lightning. "A new darkness...? Perhaps that child. I will witness how the world gives birth to him."
