Synopsis
In a world where strength reigns supreme, ordinary college student Ryu Kurogane dies in a freak accident—only to awaken in the body of a powerless noble’s son in the fantasy realm of Aetheria, complete with a ridiculous System no one else can see. **“Bonded Hearts System Activated. Grow stronger by making your wives genuinely happy.”** Ryu quickly discovers the System isn’t joking. Every heartfelt smile, every shared victory, every night spent cherishing his partners floods him with explosive stat gains, legendary skills, ancient bloodline awakenings, and god-tier abilities. The happier his wives are, the more unstoppable he becomes. But happiness isn’t bought with gold or forced with charm—it must be real. Ryu must protect, understand, and uplift each woman he bonds with while navigating a brutal continent filled with dungeon conquests, political intrigue, demonic invasions, and jealous powerhouses who see the rising “Harem Lord” as a threat to be crushed. As Ryu’s power skyrockets through dates under the stars, late-night conversations that heal old wounds, passionate nights, and shared adventures, kingdoms tremble and ancient gods take notice. Rivals scheme to steal or break his bonds. The System itself hides deeper secrets: what happens when the harem reaches perfect harmony? In a world that demands he choose between power and love, Ryu chooses both, because the strongest man isn’t the one who stands alone. He’s the one who makes his wives the happiest in the world… and reaps the rewards. “Wives happy? World conquered.”

Chapter 1 - Death, Rebirth, and a Ridiculous System

Ryu Kurogane was having the worst Tuesday of his life.

He sprinted across the rain-slicked crosswalk, laptop bag slapping against his hip, earbuds blasting lo-fi beats to drown out the stress of another all-nighter.

Midterms, a part-time job that paid just enough to hurt his pride, and a landlord who'd been texting eviction threats since last Thursday. "One more semester," he muttered, checking his phone. "Just one more—"

A truck horn blared.

The impact was surprisingly quiet. One moment he was cursing the weather. The next, everything went white.

Ryu's consciousness flickered like a fading signal, and memories that weren't his—brief, distorted, and unsettling—rushed in.

A young noble, spoiled yet helpless, was openly mocked by the servants who served him, while a father, who had long ceased pretending to care, paid him no attention. Then, darkness enveloped everything.

He gasped awake.

Silk sheets wrapped around his legs. The room was opulent yet suffocating—thick velvet curtains blocking the pale morning light, a four-poster bed etched with fading golden runes, and a cracked mirror across from him reflecting a face nearly his own.

He had a sharper jawline with messier black hair and eyes with a faint, ember-like glow that refused to extinguish.

Ryu touched his own cheek and was surprised that he could actually feel it.

"What the hell…"

A translucent blue window materialized in front of his vision, hovering serenely like it had always been there and was only now deciding to introduce itself.

Ryu gazed at it for a moment, then waved his hand through it. The window remained unmoved, unresponsive. He pinched his wrist hard, and a sharp, real pain shot up his arm.

"Okay." He exhaled slowly. "Okay. So this is happening."

He read the panel again. Then once more.

"A harem system," he said, to no one in particular. "I died on a Tuesday. Got hit by a truck. And my grand second chance is a harem system."

The System offered no apology.

A gentle knock broke his spiral and before he could reply, the door opened.

A middle-aged butler walked in with a tray—watery porridge, stale bread, and an expression that showed he found both the food and his young master equally unappealing.

"Young Lord Reinhart." The man's tone was perfectly flat. "Your father expects you in the study once you've… recovered from last night. The House Solveis family tournament begins in three days." A pause loaded with contempt. "He asks that you try, for once, not to make a spectacle of yourself."

The butler left without waiting for acknowledgment, closing the door with the quiet precision of a man who had given up on this particular young lord years ago.

Ryu sat with that for a moment.

The inherited memories settled like sediment at the bottom of still water.

Reinhart Solveis, the third son of a fading noble house on Eldoria's outer fringe, had no notable mana talent.

Bullied by his older brothers, dismissed by his father, and unseen by others, he spent most of his eighteen years drinking cheap wine and feeling sorry for himself.

"Reborn as cannon fodder," Ryu said. "Fantastic."

He swung his legs off the bed and almost collided with the bedpost. His lack of coordination matched the poor stats.

He dressed slowly in simple, once-well-made but now faded clothes and assessed his situation.

The stats were terrible. The System, though… the System was something else entirely.

A new notification appeared as he was pulling on his boots.

Ryu read that last line twice.

Then he stood, rolled his stiff shoulders, and walked out the door. "Alright. Let's see what we're working with."
