Chapter 1 - The reality

**Death? What's it like? Terrible? Painful?**

I don't know.

Fortunately—or unfortunately—I went to sleep one night and never woke up in my old body. Something in the food must have been poisoned. One moment I was breathing, the next I wasn't. Then I opened my eyes somewhere else.

I woke up in a different room, inside an opulent bungalow that looked like it belonged to royalty. The first thing I noticed was the bed beneath me—so impossibly soft, draped in fabrics fit for kings. A poor kid like me had no business even dreaming of something this luxurious. For a second I was sure I was still dreaming.

Then my eyes landed on the mirror beside the bed.

The face staring back wasn't mine.

It was *better*. If someone had taken my old face and upgraded it a hundred percent—glow-up, max evolution, perfect lighting—this is what it might look like. Long hair, white streaked with red. Golden earrings catching the light. A body that still looked like a twelve-year-old boy's, but wrapped in royal purple robes so rich and shimmering I'd never seen anything like them. The cloth was impossibly soft yet dazzling, heavy with color and history.

I stood there frozen. *Who the hell is this pretty boy?*

Before I could spiral further, the door opened. A woman in her thirties stepped in—dark-skinned, strikingly beautiful, dressed in traditional white attire with silver bangles, pendants, nose ring, the works. No blouse, just the old-style drape. She looked at me and her eyes widened in surprise.

"Yuvraj… you're awake? So early?"

*Yuvraj? Prince?*

I glanced outside. The sun was already climbing high. This wasn't dawn by any definition I knew.

She kept staring, concerned. "Is your body alright? You rose so early… Did you have a nightmare? Is everything okay?"

I had no answers. My brain was still buffering.

She was beautiful in a way that made my old life feel even smaller. In my previous birth I used to fall in love easily. But that life felt like it belonged to someone else now.

While I was busy processing her face, more questions spilled from her mouth. I couldn't speak. My head was too full of static.

Then the memories hit me like a blackout.

I saw my old life flash before my eyes—the real one. Bengali boy. Father drank himself to death. I passed Class Ten, did a computer diploma, was hunting for work while dreaming of becoming an animator or a writer. Then everything collapsed. Mother died of some mysterious illness. My elder brother followed. Then my aunt—my father's elder sister. One after another, like someone was methodically erasing my world.

I had suspected foul play, but who would believe a broke kid with no proof?

Eventually the property became mine. I grew lazy, stopped working, played games, watched old videos, consumed 18+ content I'm too ashamed to name here. One night I ate, went to sleep, and that was it.

But death wasn't the end.

After dying, I lingered. I haunted the people who had once held me close—my family, now strangers. I tried to protect them but only watched cracks form. When I couldn't help anymore, I let go. Then I started pranking the fake holy men and opportunists who came sniffing around. Nothing too cruel—just pushing people into fires or water. If they survived, fine. If not, heaven's problem.

Eventually some higher power noticed and intervened. I was reborn here, in this body, with my memories sealed away. Until now.

The poison this time cracked the seal.

That's why the memories came rushing back—because I was poisoned again, just like the original owner of this body. A tragic young prince whose father had built a tolerance to poison, only to be murdered through manipulation and betrayal. His own son killed him in a fit of rage after being lied to about the queen's death. Classic royal tragedy.

So here I am. Same soul, new skin. Different kingdom, same bullshit.

I didn't actually die this time. My body simply absorbed the poison and awakened something ancient—a golden inheritance from that doomed king.

Funny, isn't it? Poison brought me back twice.

I'm not angry. Not really. Just… amused in a dark way. If I ever get my hands on whoever did this, I'll carve them up smiling. Slowly. Piece by piece.

But that's for later.

This is my introduction.

If you want the full story—the real one—stay with me. I'll tell it raw, no filter.

Just keep reading.
