Cheongdam-dong — Gangnam
I was walking arm in arm with Soo-kyung, looking for a shop to rent my wedding dress. My wedding to my fiancé, Choi Eun-ho, was just weeks away, and I was nervous and eager for that special day to arrive.
"Look, Hye-jin, that dress is beautiful, don't you think? You'd look gorgeous in it."
"It's very pretty. Do you think Eun-ho will like it?"
"Why not? You're beautiful. He'll be captivated when he sees you."
We went into the shop, where the saleswoman gave us a quote for the bridal package. "As you can see, the dress rental costs between 200,000 and 500,000 won, and you'll have your wedding photos on the day."
"That sounds good, Hye-jin, and the marriage bonus you'll get at work is great."
"You're right, Soo-kyung, I have to talk to Eun-ho about it."
We both left the store and started walking through the neighborhood when Eun-ho called me.
"Honey?" I answered the call.
"Hi, my love, how are you?"
"I'm fine. I was with Soo-kyung reviewing wedding budgets."
"That's great, my love. I'm glad to hear you're doing well."
"Do you want me to come see you?" I asked. "No, my love, I'm really busy with work. Maybe later."
"Oh, okay, my love, I'll see you later."
"What did he say?" Soo-kyung asked.
"That he's busy with work, I'll see him later."
"Something's fishy about that, Hye-jin," Soo-kyung replied. "I don't think so. I trust him. I guess he's just too busy."
"I don't trust him." I arrived at my apartment, took out my keys, and opened the door. I put on my coat and took off my shoes, then lay down on my bed, exhausted. After a tiring day, I fell asleep...

It was a perfect day; the calm weather seemed like a dream. I was in the bridal room, wearing my white dress with a crinoline and a veil that reached my elbows. I was sitting on a small white armchair, surrounded by white lilies, my favorite flower.
"Am I about to get married?... Will my dreams come true? Have I found my happiness and my true love?"
Just then, my mother entered, wearing her pink and lilac hanbok. Her dull brown hair was styled in an elegant updo.
"Are you ready, daughter? All the guests are inside waiting for the ceremony to begin," my mother announced, adjusting my veil.
"Is everyone really here?" "I asked nervously, trembling with excitement and fear. I still didn't know whether to go out or not. But my mother was right, the ceremony had to begin.
"Daughter, you look beautiful. I never thought this day would come. I wish you all the happiness in the world, daughter."
"Thank you so much, Mom," I hugged her, grateful for her kind words. "I'm ready, Mom," I said, nervous but determined. It was time to move to the next level.
Standing in front of the hall door, I stared. I was nervous; I couldn't believe it. I was about to get married and start a new life. Suddenly, a strange man approached me. I couldn't see his face. He extended his hand and was about to give me away. The door opened, and I walked in. I reached the altar, and... this person wasn't my fiancé.
"Who are you? Answer me," I asked, confused.
" "Shh... you'll soon know who I am," the boy replied, placing his finger to my lips. As the officiant performed the ceremony, I began to feel dizzy, like I was going to faint. All I could hear was my name.
"Hye-jin, Hye-jin."
