Chapter 22 - The God of Darkness - Thalos

Chapter 23: The God of Darkness - Thalos

Death and the Corpse materialized on a desolate planet, 8,400 light years away from Earth. The eerie landscape stretched before them, a testament to the unforgiving nature of the universe. Death's moon magic had transported them to this forsaken world, where they encountered a group of ruthless invaders.

Drexmar, the leader of the Phoenicians, stood tall, his piercing gaze fixed on Death. "You are Death of the Beta galaxy, aren't you? I'm Drexmar, a Phoenician from planet Phoenix. I'm also a disciple of Thalos, the Supreme God of Darkness." His voice was laced with an air of superiority, and his words hung in the air like a challenge.

Death's response was measured, his tone cautious. "Sorry for the intrusion, Drexmar. We're here to seek refuge and regain our strength. We have no intention of causing you any harm."

Drexmar's smile was cold, calculating. "Lord Thalos wants to have a word with you in the Omega galaxy. We'll bring you to him after we're done invading this planet. Are you with us?"

Death nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "Yes, Drexmar. We'll accompany you. Do you use magic?"

Drexmar chuckled, a low, menacing sound. "No, we're more superior than elementalists like you. We use power gems, each imbued with unique properties. I possess the silver gem, one of the rarest gems in this dimension."

As Drexmar introduced his team, Death's eyes widened in interest. Athena wielded the ruby gem, Rigor the white gem, Murlock the bronze gem, and Syndra the purple gem. Each gem seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy, and Death could sense the immense power they held.

Drexmar's voice continued, his words painting a picture of a vast, unending quest. "We're searching for the ten imbalance gems, hidden within the cores of planets we invade. These gems can destroy stars, and with them, our power will be limitless. We'll give you gauntlets to collect gems. If you find any, keep them. They can boost your magic power exquisitely."

Death's determination solidified, his mind fixed on acquiring those gems to crush James. Vixen's whispered question hung in the air, her voice barely audible. "Are we going to follow them, my Lord?"

Death's response was low, calculated. "For now, Vixen, we need to build more allies and prepare for war."

Just then, Thalos's hologram appeared, his presence commanding attention. "Drexmar, did you find Death?"

Drexmar's response was immediate. "He's here, my Lord."

Thalos's voice was like thunder, shaking the very foundations of the planet. "Death, I'll give you another chance. Don't disappoint me again. I've sent the Xeno to help you. Meet me in the Omega dimension."

Death's words were laced with reverence. "I apologize and thank you, my Lord."

As the hologram faded, Drexmar turned to Death. "Let's proceed with the mission. We'll show you the power of the Phoenicians."

A brief history of Thalos flashed in Death's mind, a tale of a mortal who had transcended his limitations to become the Supreme God of Darkness. Thalos's past was shrouded in mystery, but one thing was certain - his power was unmatched, and his wrath was feared throughout the galaxies.

With this newfound understanding, Death's determination grew. He would stop at nothing to acquire the imbalance gems and fulfill Thalos's expectations. The fate of the universe hung in the balance, and Death was ready to play his part.

The stage was set for an epic confrontation, with Thalos's power looming large in the shadows. The question was, what secrets lay hidden behind Thalos's ascension to godhood? Only time would tell.
