A projectile made of mana shot with a decent speed towards Akiol. Raising his blade he carved through it, utilizing Stars' immunity to magic. However to his surprise an implosion occurred right when the projectile was cut.
Sliding away from this Akiol felt slightly perplexed. Sunny Jade didn't give him the time to think about what had just occurred however. She instead fired several times. Despite Akiol dodging some, they still imploded. One even grazed Akiol's shoulder, part of his slime body malformed from the impact. It was enough to be visibly noticeable, but not enough to hinder his movements.
Dashing to close the distance Akiol focused on entirely avoiding the projectiles. They couldn't be cut, nor could they be dodged at a close range. It seemed like Sunny Jade was capable of detonating the implosions as she pleased. That or they were automatic.
