Chen Yi finally managed to escape from Wang Mingwei and started looking for Yun Mingrui, only to find him outside the banquet hall talking to Zheng Mingwen. Their interaction made it seem as though they got along very well.

Yun Mingrui felt someone watching him and instinctively turned around, only to see Chen Yi standing not far from the door.
Chen Yi quickly composed herself and started walking toward them, just as Yun Mingrui looked over.
"Xiaowen, you know President Yun?" Chen Yi asked with a smile as she approached them.
Zheng Mingwen looked at Chen Yi, somewhat uncomfortable with her appearance interrupting their private conversation, but he remembered that he was at this banquet because it was hosted by her family.
