I waited for Hina at the airport.
This wasn't the first time we've spent some time apart, and well, it's only been a few days since I left her alone back in London. We'd had longer breaks than that before.
But what I felt this time wasn't nervousness at seeing her again. It was more like a guilt and dread - guilt of bringing her into this mess and dread of what was to happen from here on.
"Sin!"
Hina shouted and ran directly toward me as she emerged out of the arrival gate.
I don't think Ema was too pleased that the girl bypassed her completely and jumped straight on me as soon as she arrived - the girl she pretty much raised herself.
"Ahem, good to see you too, Miss," Ema let it be known.
"Oh, hi Ema! How have you been? I hope you haven't been too harsh on Sin since she came back" Hina responded, totally missing the cue.
But the motherly figure couldn't keep her bitterness for long as Hina embraced her and rubbed her cheek on hers.
