I couldn't fall asleep.
Not only because of the storm that was heading toward us - and we were heading into - but also because Hina cozied up to me and hugged me like I was a massive plushy.
She hadn't spoken a word since we got back to her room. She only pulled on my sleeve with the look of a poor puppy about to be abandoned as I said goodnight and was about to leave the room.
Knowing that any protest would be futile, and feeling responsible for the pressure that we were putting this 20 years old girl through, I could only give in and let her have her way.
I thought about saying something to comfort her, but I couldn't think of anything that would not escalate into longer conversation that will only bring further stress. So I just let her hug me, lay her head on my shoulder, and breath down my neck - literally.
After a long time though, it was Hina who finally broke the silence - always the braver one between us.
"Sin."
"Yes, Miss."
"Are you sleeping?"
