Cocolia's sudden intrusion startled Bochang awake. He sat up in bed, one hand clutching the soft sheets, momentarily dazed.
Being rudely awakened from a pleasant dream was never enjoyable.
Bochang turned around. "What is it, Cocolia?"
He hadn't clearly heard what she said just now.
"Gelou Beru's Antimatter Legion... has been resurrected..."
Cocolia's breaths were rapid, and beads of sweat glistened on her smooth forehead, indicating she had rushed over hurriedly.
Bochang finally understood the reason for her uncharacteristic distress.
"So it's the Antimatter Legion... Wait... they've been resurrected? Already?" Initially, Bochang didn't fully grasp the situation, but as realization dawned, his expression shifted to one of surprise.
The existence of numerous antimatter legions on Jarilo VI was no secret. When Bochang and his team resolved the Stellaron Crisis, they had witnessed those frozen monsters. At the time, he had even pondered that once these creatures thawed, it would likely lead to another catastrophe.
Yet unexpectedly...
The Antimatter Legion had revived so swiftly, which seemed truly inconceivable.
Wait... Could this be Phantylia's doing...? thought Bochang.
Bochang thought to himself.
The Silver Wolf had also warned them earlier:
"Don't leave Phantylia behind; it will lead to problems."
Considering this, Bochang suspected that Lord Ravager might be orchestrating these events from the shadows.
"You're right. The Silvermane Guards outside the city have already spotted numerous traces of Antimatter Legion soldiers and engaged with some. According to intelligence, a massive horde is advancing towards Belobog. The vanguard forces... are expected to reach the northern outskirts within an hour," Cocolia spoke rapidly.
Despite her composed demeanor at the dinner table moments ago, even the golden-haired beauty seemed unsettled now.
"The protective shield won't hold for long, Mister Bochang. What should we do? With only Belobog's strength, we cannot possibly withstand the revived monsters..." Cocolia, who had just begun contributing to the reborn Belobog, could not bear to watch the last city descend into the Abyss.
Now...
Cocolia could only place her hopes on this young man who appeared even younger than herself.
The enemy's formidable strength was evident, hailing from beyond the heavens.
Surely, there must be a way to address this issue.
"Don't worry," Bochang reassured her, "I'll find a solution. Let's head to the city walls first and assess the situation."
He swiftly got out of bed.
"Bailu, you..." He turned back to glance at Bailu, surprised to see her still asleep despite Cocolia's entrance.
"She sleeps so soundly." Bochang softly sighed.
No wonder March 7th managed to sneak away unnoticed last night; once this little one fell asleep, she was truly undisturbed...
Cocolia suggested, "Since Miss Bailu isn't awake yet, let's proceed without her. It will give her some more rest."
In the former Great Guardian's view, the young dragon girl was merely a child, unable to contribute much assistance.
"I'm taking Bailu with us." Bochang had no intention of leaving her behind.
With the Antimatter Legion approaching menacingly, he couldn't risk abandoning Bailu alone at Qlipoth Fort. Keeping her close seemed like the safer option, not to mention her combat capabilities were quite impressive for a young dragon.
In case of any unforeseen complications, she could lend her assistance.
To be honest...
Once Bailu transforms into her giant dragon form, she would easily sweep through all of Belobog... The only concern is whether there might be formidable adversaries within the frozen Antimatter Legion.
"Well... Mister Bochang, it's your decision," Cocolia responded without objection, leaving the choice to Bochang instead.
She gently nudged the little dragon girl awake.
"Wake up, Bailu, it's time to rise," said Bochang.
"Hmm... What's going on?" Bailu opened her eyes, looking dazed.
Bochang pinched the cheek of the young dragon girl.
"A sudden surge of the Antimatter Legion has appeared outside Belobog..."
Before he could finish,
Bailu instantly perked up and exclaimed, "What? The Antimatter Legion? We should hurry and make our escape!"
Upon hearing this,
Cocolia placed a hand on her forehead, her beautiful purple eyes conveying a sense of helplessness.
Cocolia couldn't predict what choice they would ultimately make, leading to mixed emotions within her.
Bochang reassured them, "It's just the Antimatter Legion... Let's go take a look first before jumping to conclusions. Bailu, stop thinking about running away all the time; you're the future High Elder of the Vidyadhara clan. Show some courage, won't you?"
As long as Lord Ravager himself didn't intervene, the Antimatter Legion posed no significant threat beyond their sheer numbers.
Bailu scratched her head, finding Bochang's words quite reasonable. The little dragon girl followed closely behind without mentioning escape again.
The trio swiftly exited Qlipoth Fort.
Bright sunlight flooded the earth, illuminating all of Belobog.
Behind this radiant facade, however, a more perilous disaster was approaching.
Unaware of the impending danger, the people of Belobog rejoiced in the resolution of the Stellaron Crisis and the restored access between upper and lower districts.
Bochang extended his hand.
"Mrs. Cocolia, if it's not too much trouble, allow me to escort you from here on."
This sudden invitation caught Cocolia off guard.
Cocolia hesitated and asked, "Send me on my way?"
"Indeed, flying is faster than running. Given the urgency of the situation, I don't have time for leisurely travel." Bochang spread his hands.
Cocolia knew that her counterpart possessed flight capabilities.
As for herself...
When she had access to Stellaron power, Cocolia could indeed fly.
However, after losing the Stellaron's power,
she no longer held the ability to soar.
"Would you carry me while flying? But then... wouldn't we be in close proximity... Might this be... inappropriate?" Numerous thoughts raced through Cocolia's mind within an instant.
Observing the silent former Great Guardian, Bochang realized something and said, "Uh... unwilling? Then I'll head to the city walls first."
As he spoke...
Bochang reached into his pouch, retrieving the Cyber Sword.
The more people it carried, the slower the Cyber Sword's speed became.
If Cocolia didn't join them, it was just as well.
Bochang and Bailu could swiftly investigate what exactly was happening.
Just moments ago, when Bochang and Stelle were searching for Tingyun outside the city, not a single member of the frozen Antimatter Legion showed any signs of movement.
"Wait... I'm willing!" Cocolia reached out to stop Bochang, who had already prepared to take off with Bailu.
The surrounding Silvermane Guards turned their attention towards them, unable to help but notice Cocolia's sudden reaction.
"Not...I'm just offering you a ride, not proposing marriage! Don't get so excited; it easily creates misunderstandings," Bochang silently grumbled to himself.
He then cleared his throat and said, "Alright, Mrs. Cocolia, please hold on tight and steady yourself."
"Yes." Cocolia nodded solemnly.
