Chapter 12 - 12- Speedrun : Ninja God

Alright, the time to act is here.

I looked towards the Root base and inspected their activities. It was a newly formed organization, but the level of cruelty was still the same—with all those human experiments and stuff.

My goal was to get there, take what I need, and leave. Undetected. Unnoticed.

And my goal was—the one true hax of the Naruto verse—Hashirama cells.

Even the God of Shinobi, the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, attributed his strength to him being made up of 100% Hashirama cells.

You can imagine how powerful those cells would be. And with them, my time in the ninja world before all the Otsutsuki shit starts would be like a walk in the park.

Ever since the reign of the Second Hokage, research on Hashirama cells has been continuously ongoing in attempts to recreate Wood Style jutsu.

Even Tobirama couldn't help but delve into researching his brother's corpse—simply because Wood Style was that goated.

But they didn't know that it wasn't Wood Style that was powerful. It was Hashirama himself—with a chakra amount more than Nine Tails, perfect Sage Mode… If Hashirama had something like Particle Style, he would've been even scarier. Like, imagine a Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu covering an entire village, just eradicating it all at once.

Anyways, after careful observation and deductions, I had finally created the perfect plan. Since there was research going on, there would be tools needed. Now, as you would have it, the tools weren't entirely locally made by Root.

Instead, they were brought in. And if they were brought in, I could just implant a Flying Thunder God imprint on the tool, and when it was inside the base near the Hashirama cells, I just needed to wait for a moment when no one was around—or the ones present were insignificantly weak, to take action.

So for days, I spied patiently. Checked the places where they purchased research materials from. Planted several hidden Flying Thunder God marks on them.

Yes, the mark can be hidden if I wish to make it so. But activation would require a bit longer, and whenever I activate the mark, it would become visible.

Once the Root base infiltration plan was completed, I now had to plan my escape—and also find somewhere far away for a safehouse while implanting the Hashirama cells.

For that, I first marked migratory animals with Flying Thunder God marks and let them move far away. Then I teleported to them. And if it was a proper remote area, I would create an underground safehouse there using Earth Style. Then leave several Flying Thunder God marks inside.

I had created over 20 such safehouses, for safety reasons. Filled my own home and lots of places in Konoha with Flying Thunder God marks. Heck, I had even marked many merchant caravans going away from Konoha. Basically, now—if I desired to escape—no one, I repeat, no one, would be able to stop me.

Alright. Tonight. 4 a.m. in the morning… the perfect time to act.

This was the time when the researchers often took a break and vigilance was at a minimal level. The lab would be left empty for a while. I had already figured out each and every defense mechanism of the root base too. So now, I just needed to wait.

And as time passed, the opportunity to act arrived.

Soon… very soon… I could hardly contain my excitement.

'Time to act,' I muttered—and teleported. Arriving within the laboratory of the Root base, I proceeded to take a small sample out of the Hashirama cells and stored it in a container I had already prepared.

Then I gave one last look with my Six Eyes to check if I had left any traces behind and erased my lingering scent in the lab. Then I teleported out—arriving in one of the safehouses.

Ensuring the safehouse was empty, and scanning the surrounding areas with my Six Eyes, checking if anyone one was around, I finally let out a sigh—and burst into a mad laugh. I didn't control myself and let my emotions run free…

Finally. I have it. The key to success. Now I can spend my time on more meaningful things like research and indulging in luxury—also to prepare for the eventual Otsutsuki attack.

I was about to have the credentials to finally escape the matrix of the Shinobi world. Not be a disposable pawn in a game orchestrated by Black Zetsu.

I looked at the Hashirama cell sample once more—and made up my mind.

Now, what I am about to do is a very risky act, if you don't have the same ability as me, I'd recommend you don't try the same action I'm about to do. You may die. But me? Nah. I'd adapt.

I made a large cut in my hand and shoved the entire Hashirama cell sample in there. My adaptability kicked in, healing the wound. And as soon as the wound closed, the Hashirama cells sprang into action.

I could see the wriggling mass within my arm—causing a lot of pain, which almost made me scream. But before I could, I had already adapted to it. But even without the pain, the work of the Hashirama cells didn't stop. Within moments, the wriggling feeling covered my entire body, which again—started hurting like hell. It felt as if my body was about to explode and I'd turn into a tree.

But—

Click.

The illusory Wheel of Dharma spun again—and the feeling of impending death was gone. I had adapted to the Hashirama cells to some extent. Extended my life—though not by much.

Another click.

Better—but not entirely well. The process followed until a total of ten clicks happened—and my body had finally stabilized.

Damn… that was worse than I expected…

But holy shit.... this Sage Body awesome.

My chakra had multiplied by over a hundred times. Every part of my body felt like it was bursting with energy. And not just that—something even more unexpected had happened. A large amount of energy had also transferred to my Six Eyes, enhancing them even further.

And there was this warm feeling inside my body—a strange energy I could see with my Six Eyes… It must be the lingering Yang energy which Hashirama inherited from Asura.

This might not be properly utilized even by Hashirama, since I'm sure I've completely reached his level in terms of Sage Body.

But Yang energy was different. Asura got it from the Sage of Six Paths. Maybe he himself never digested it completely… But just as these thoughts were running through my mind, something happened which broke the chain—

Click.

Another adaptation. My body was adapting even further. Assimilating the Yang energy—making it completely a part of me.

Click.

The energy had now disappeared completely. But it felt as if it had changed my body entirely. Ultimate Yang energy… this was Six Paths-level stuff. Just add ultimate Yin, and you'd have a proper Six Paths-level being.

I checked my body once again. From the outside—nope. No changes. But from the inside, I had changed on a cellular level.

Now even tailed beasts would envy me if they saw my chakra amount. It was practically enough to run rampant across the world. Heck, I could drown all of Konoha with my Water Release without breaking a sweat, with the amount of chakra I possess.

But—just because I'm this strong doesn't mean I need to show off. I'm not even ten right now. So I'll simply focus on attending classes and graduating.

For now, I intend on telling Tsunade, Grandma Mito, and Kushina about me awakening Wood Style—and ask them to keep it a secret.

When the time is right, and I'm old enough to act freely—which means around 15 years old—I'll show my full strength.

The strongest Shinobi in the world.

Until then—I am simply Mahoraga Enju, the greatest genius of Konohagakure.
