Chapter 26 - A 100% Fang Yuan

— — — — — — —

Outside the Blessed Land

He Feng Yang stood in anticipation, his eyes locked on the entrance, ready to seize any chance to enter the blessed land.

Suddenly, a small hole appeared, and Fang Zheng and two Gu worms shot out, zooming straight toward him. Before he could react, the hole vanished without a trace.

He Feng Yang's eyes narrowed as he examined the Gu worms and Fang Zheng.

Without hesitation, he activated the communication function and demanded sternly, "Sky Crane, explain what happened inside the blessed land."

Of course, He Feng Yang was also checking Fang Zheng's memories to have better information.

Central Continent, Spirit Affinity House

Feng Jiu Ge sat with his wife, Fairy Bai Qing, and his daughter, Feng Jin Huang, sipping tea in peaceful silence. A soft smile crossed his normally composed face as he spoke, "You've finally calmed down, Feng'er."

"Yes, Father," Feng Jin Huang replied, her voice steady and serene, showing no trace of her previous outbursts. "I've realized I was overthinking the situation."

"That Fang Yuan just cheated and didn't really defeat me."

Feng Jiu Ge nodded approvingly, pride glinting in his eyes. "Good."

"Also, to wrap things up, I sent Fang Yuan a challenge letter."

He paused, then smiled. "He has already replied."

Both Feng Jin Huang and Fairy Bai Qing leaned in, curiosity shining in their eyes. Feng Jin Huang's mind raced with guesses—maybe an apology or even a surrender. "Hmph! I won't accept his apology no matter what."

"...This?"

Feng Jiu Ge's body suddenly froze. His face darkened, eyes widening in disbelief as he read the letter.

For a moment, he was speechless, staring at the Letter Gu as if questioning its authenticity. "This should be fake.....right?"

Fairy Bai Qing's eyes narrowed in concern. "Husband, what did he write?"

"He said uh...this."

Feng Jiu Ge didn't know what to say then handed her the letter. "Just read it yourself."

Feng Jin Huang and Fairy Bai Qing read together.

— — —

"Ahem! Yo~"

"This is Fang Yuan speaking."

"I saw that my friend Feng Jiu was the one who sent the letter, and only then did I decide to reply."

"Brother Feng Jiu Ge, I, Fang Yuan, have long admired your name. If not for this, I wouldn't have bothered to write a reply."

"I read your letter with all my heart and found a big problem in it... Truly, I feel outrageously wronged!"

"First of all, the blessed land was won fair and square—I didn't cheat, and if you doubt me, go ask the Immortal Crane Sect. They'll vouch for my untouchable honor!"

"Now, onto the curious case of little Feng Jin Huang. Apparently, she's decided to pin some mysterious blame on me—reasons that even I can't quite fathom right now."

"But I must say one thing: the real victim here, the one who should be sad, angry, and indignant, is me."

"She shamelessly stared at my body and personal belongings like they were some kind of art show, and not even a polite 'hello' or a request to look. She didn't even introduce herself before doing what she did to my body. Can you believe that?"

"Once upon a time, I was the epitome of purity—untouched, unseen by any woman before her. And now?"

"Though it may seem trivial to her, this concerns my body—something I have always guarded with dignity."

"So, I hereby demand that Miss Feng Jin Huang step up and take full responsibility for her shameless behavior—my body is not a free-for-all!"

"Still, for Brother Feng Jiu Ge's sake, I'll forgive her. But if she had any hopes of marrying me, I'm afraid I must apologize in advance."

"I know I'm perfect, but sorry—I already have someone I love."

"That's it. Please don't think my heart can waver; I've already decided—I won't marry her, no matter what."

"That's all I have to say for now. If Brother Feng wants to ask me anything, don't hesitate to send a letter."

"End of the letter. Fang Yuan was 100% the one who wrote this."

— — —

The room fell into stunned silence.

Feng Jin Huang's face flushed bright red with outrage. "W-What?!" she stammered, her voice shaking. "That shameless man! How dare he…?"

"How could he twist things like this?"

"I want to marry him?"

"We... that... he... Arghhhhhh!"

Her shock quickly turned to fury. "Father! I won't let this slide! I'll go to Fang Yuan and make him pay for this insult! Right now!"

Fairy Bai Qing gently tugged at her sleeve, her voice calm but firm. "Feng'er, don't let him provoke you. This is exactly what he wants—he's playing with your emotions."

Feng Jin Huang's eyes were red. "Mother! I can't let this slide!"

Fairy Bai Qing shook her head, her calm demeanor unwavering. "That's exactly what he's counting on. Be careful—this man is more dangerous than he seems."

Feng Jiu Ge, who had been silently listening, finally spoke, his voice cold and commanding. "Enough, Feng'er. You will stay put until we've fully investigated him."

His eyes darkened, a dangerous glint flickering within. "But! If he thinks he can toy with us, he's sorely mistaken. It's a pity he's not yet an immortal. If he were, I'd crush him myself."

"Hmph! Maybe The Immortal Crane Sect was the one who sent it."

Fairy Bai Qing looked at her husband with concern. "What will you do?"

A sly smile played on Feng Jiu Ge's lips. "I'll send a message to their sect's immortals, like He Feng Yang. Do they think they can shield him? They'll learn the hard way not to mess with our family."

(A/N: The eternal bro He Feng Yang.)

Fairy Bai Qing nodded thoughtfully. "If Fang Yuan is under the Immortal Crane Sect's protection, then his actions reflect poorly on them. Making an example of their immortals would send a clear message."

"Maybe they will hand over that Fang Yuan after it."

Feng Jin Huang, still fuming, reluctantly sat back down, her anger far from settled. "Father, I want to face Fang Yuan myself."

Feng Jiu Ge gave her a reassuring look, his voice steady. "Don't worry, Feng'er. Fang Yuan isn't a problem."

He took another sip of tea, his confidence unshaken. "He is just a mortal that can't cause any waves."

"No matter what heights he reaches, I will easily crush him when the time comes like all people in his sect."

"It's not like he will become a Venerable in the future."
