"You wanted to speak with me, Lorcan?" Zekial asked.
"Yes." Lorcan walked over to the sofa in his living room and sat down, a cup of coffee in his grip. "It's about Alexis."
"What about her?"
"Would you mind um…taking it easy with the training?"
Zekial eyed him. "What?"
Lorcan's red eyes flickered. "Don't get me wrong, it's just…you're coming at this a bit too hard. She was a mess last night and—"
"Lorcan, when you asked me to help, you promised that you weren't going to interfere, and I don't want you to. I'll do my work, however I see fit, and I don't want anyone getting in my way."
"I fully understand that," Lorcan agreed. "It's just that she's my brother's mate, and if anything happens to her, he's going to kill me. I mean, actually kill me. He's a supreme alpha, and as much as I like messing with him, Alexis is a limit. So if you could, please…. for my sake. I beg you. I'd like to take her back to him without a scratch."
