The next day, I woke up, glancing at the man beside me. I couldn't help but smile, knowing that I almost could have lost him all due to a panic attack. I lay back down and rested my head on my pillow, looking at the ceiling. Everything happened so quickly.
I got up and put on a bathrobe before checking on Henry. I opened my eyes and smiled at Henry, who was still sleeping. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked at Zoro standing behind me. "Good Morning, sleepy head."
Zoro smiled and put his arm around my waist, pulling me into him. "Hey, Momma." He moved my hand from my shoulder to my ass giving it a little squeeze. "Talk about as round as a peach."
I giggled. "Hey now. Keep talking like that and you'll turn me on."
"Isn't that the point?" He kissed my neck. "Don't fight it, Pretty Kitty."
A few hours later, I walked into Henry's room, shaking him awake. "Henry? Wake up, my little swordsmen."
Henry stirred. "Momma?"
I smiled. "Yeah, bud?" I turned around to see Zoro standing in his son's bedroom doorway.
The little boy sat up, yawned, and stretched. "Are you and Daddy back together?"
"Yes, Henry. We are." I helped him to the top bunk. "You've gotten so big. Soon I won't be able to pick you up for long."
Henry giggled. "I know, Momma." Once his feet touched the floor, he ran past his father and down the stairs to join the others.
I chuckled. "He's got your spunk, that's for sure."
Zoro smiled. "He is a tough little tick."
I took his hand and joined the others who were talking at teasing each other. We entered the kitchen, I couldn't help but smile seeing Sanji cooking breakfast for Henry. Luffy, as always, was annoying Sanji for food. Nami was studying her maps and charts to see the quickest way to the next stop. Chealse was feeding Elizabeth and William. Usopp was fixing his slingshot. Robin was sitting on the sofa reading. Chopper was sitting at a small wooden table preparing some medical equipment.
Luffy glanced up, seeing Zoro and I enter the living room. "It's about time that you two joined us."
Zoro chuckled. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Luffy. I had a perfect peach to look at."
Usopp glanced up. "We don't need to keep hear about how round Kat's butt is. It's getting old."
I giggled, blushing. "Oh, come on. I don't mind it. It's not every day that a woman hears her other half compare her booty to a piece of fruit."
Sanji finished cooking breakfast and presented pancakes along with orange juice. "Breakfast is ready."
Henry's eyes went wide. "Pancakes?! Thanks, Uncle Sanji! You're the best."
Sanji chuckled. "It's my job to keep people full, little man."
I ruffled Henry's little brown hair. "Make sure you help Sanji with the dishes."
Henry pouted. "Momma, stop it."
Sanji smiled. "It's nothing to worry about, Kat."
I looked at him. "I insist, Sanji. I need Henry to learn responsibilities."
Sanji nodded.
Luffy came over to where I was standing. He could tell something was on my mind, though he couldn't tell what. "Kat, is something wrong? You seem troubled by either someone or something?"
I didn't look at him but stared out the window, reading how the wind was blowing. Something did indeed catch my eye. My head snapped towards the right. With speed, I followed the wind. Something was very wrong. I had to find out what was causing this. To my right and left, animals were jumping or flying away from something evil. I stopped spotting tracks. These tracks. They aren't animal or human. What are they? I thought.
The thing that had caused these tracks was hiding behind the trees just ahead. "Katherine, it's time to come home. You've done so much already. Lay down your blades and return to me."
I blinked. This voice sounded like my father. But I hadn't seen him since the day I left with Zoro and Luffy. I felt my head get foggy and my vision blurry before passing out.
Back at the house, both Luffy and Zoro got the feeling that something was wrong. It had been at least an hour since I left. They looked at each other with a knowing look before leaving the house to search for me. Nami ran after the boys. She wanted to know what was going on, but neither one of them could give her an answer because they didn't know what was going on.
Two hours later, I woke up in a strange building with no memory of how I got there. Where am I? Zoro. Henry. My friends. I have to get out of here.
A dark figure stepped out of the shadows. "Finally, you're awake. Shadow Kat. We've been waiting for you."
I looked at him. "What are you talking about? "We?" Let me out of this hellhole. I have a 2-year-old son to get back to. Whatever this evil cult has in mind, I'm not interested."
The figure smirked evilly. "What makes you think that we are a cult?"
"Why else would you drug an assassin with poison gas? You have to try better than that. Unless you are trying to sacrifice me to some evil god. Poison gas only works on the weak-minded."
