Chapter 220 - The Jealous Storm Axe, Hercules Arrives

To emphasize Aaron's importance, Odin instructed Thor to invite him, along with the Three Warriors of Asgard and Irene.

These were the people Aaron was most familiar with in Asgard.

Of course, there was another person who wasn't present—Loki.

When Aaron heard that Thor and the others were coming, he immediately sensed that something significant was about to happen.

As he came downstairs, he saw Thor animatedly recounting his previous battle, practically dancing with excitement.

"You killed the God Slayer? Seriously, Thor? I never thought you'd be able to take down a monster feared by the gods!"

Sif couldn't hide her shock upon hearing Thor's story.

Although she had never personally encountered Gorr, her time in the Almighty City had given her a basic understanding of the God Slayer.

This was a god butcher feared even among the divine!

Even Wanda and the others were left stunned.

They had also believed the God Slayer to be a formidable foe and had worried about whether Aaron—himself a god—would be affected by Gorr's powers.

But now, hearing that Thor had actually defeated him?

Just how strong had Thor become?

"Of course! Who do you think I am?"

"I am Thor, son of Odin, the God of Thunder!"

He lifted his weapon proudly.

"Behold, this is my new weapon—the Storm Axe!"

"Forged by the Dwarves and my father, created from the core energy of a dying Fixed Star, and praised by both Odin and Eitri as the most powerful weapon of a king!"

"Stronger than both Mjolnir and the Spear of Eternity!"

"Theoretically, it can even open the Bifrost!"

"My father told me that my bloodline's true power has yet to be fully awakened. Soon, my strength will grow even greater!"

At that moment, Thor seemed to have returned to his old Asgardian days, showing off his new weapon like a child with a prized possession.

After being without a proper weapon for so long, wielding the Storm Axe and slaying the God Slayer had renewed his confidence.

He had done it again!

Although the axe couldn't allow him to fly like Mjolnir had, he now had the Bifrost at his disposal.

While his flight speed had decreased, his ability to travel vast distances had only improved.

Thor's words instantly convinced the Three Warriors of Asgard.

However, Wanda's group remained skeptical.

Or rather, uncertain.

They believed Thor had grown stronger, but they weren't entirely convinced that the Storm Axe was the most powerful weapon.

Noticing their doubt, Thor prepared to continue his boasting—until he saw Aaron coming downstairs.

The moment he saw him, his confidence wavered.

Even with all his bravado, Thor couldn't muster the same confidence in front of Aaron.

Boasting and showing off? He didn't even consider it.

"What are you all talking about?"

Aaron smiled as he approached.

The Three Warriors of Asgard immediately saluted him.

Irene waved in greeting but quickly shifted her attention to Amora, eyeing her warily.

Amora, however, didn't care about Irene's hostility anymore.

She had already won at the starting line—while Irene hadn't even stepped through the door.

"Nothing much, just discussing the God Slayer."

Thor hurriedly hid his axe behind him and attempted to change the subject.

As if sensing Thor's embarrassment, the axe trembled slightly—almost as if dissatisfied.

Aaron's gaze landed on the Storm Axe, and he raised an eyebrow.

"So you've changed weapons?"

"Well, well, Thor… it seems you've moved on. You abandon the hammer as soon as you get an axe?"

"Mjolnir was broken, remember? Your hammer isn't my little hammer."

Thor scratched his head, looking puzzled.

But the axe behind him, upon hearing Thor refer to Mjolnir as a "little hammer," suddenly began to shake violently.

Thor patted it, trying to calm it down.

"What's wrong with you, buddy?"

Aaron smirked. He stretched out his hand, and in an instant, a familiar hammer appeared in his grasp.

Its surface was covered in cracks, held together as if by magic.

Mjolnir had indeed shattered, but as a powerful king's weapon, it was no ordinary tool. It wouldn't simply cease to exist after breaking.

Infused with divine power and magic, it had slowly healed itself—retaining its past strength while developing new abilities.

For instance, it could now unleash explosive shards as an attack.

Thor froze at the sight of his old weapon, taking an involuntary step forward.

"Little Hammer!"

"Isn't this my Mjolnir?"

"Come here, Mjolnir! It's me, Thor!"

Mjolnir responded by vibrating slightly but didn't move.

It hesitated.

Because standing behind Thor… was the Storm Axe.

The axe gleamed coldly, its blade subtly angled toward Thor's back.

In fact, it wasn't just aimed at Thor—it was targeting Mjolnir as well.

As if warning it: Move, and I'll act.

Naturally, Aaron's magical abilities had long surpassed Odin's.

He had modified Odin's enchantments, granting himself authority over Mjolnir.

And as for how Mjolnir had ended up in Aaron's hands?

After Thor's battle with Hela, he hadn't expected Mjolnir to slowly repair itself over time.

Hela and Loki had taken the hammer's fragments, which eventually found their way to Aaron.

"What's wrong? Come to Dad."

Seeing that Mjolnir didn't move, Thor took a step forward.

But before he could reach it, Fandral coughed loudly behind him.

Thor ignored him.

Then Volstagg coughed too.

Still, he didn't turn around.

Wanda and the others, meanwhile, smiled mischievously, making no effort to warn him.

Finally, Aaron pointed behind him.

Thor turned—only to come face-to-face with the Storm Axe, its blade just three centimeters from his nose.

A sharp glint flashed in its metal.

"Hey, what are you doing here?!"

Startled by the axe's sudden aggression, Thor quickly grabbed its handle and pulled it back.

That's when he noticed the others laughing hysterically.

"What's so funny?"

"I smell jealousy… where is it coming from?"****"

Fandral looked around, as if searching for the source.

"Jealousy? What are you talking about?"

Thor was completely confused.

"Yes! And it's strong! Thick! Dangerous!"

Volstagg and Hogun nodded in agreement.

They didn't dare spell it out, though—Storm Axe was still right there, gleaming menacingly.

The last thing they wanted was to become its next target.

Thor, however, remained utterly clueless.

As he turned to speak to Mjolnir again, Fandral and the others immediately stopped him.

"Thor, let's focus. You can talk about the hammer later."

"Yeah! Hold on, Mjolnir!"

Even as he agreed, Thor still called out affectionately to his old weapon.

This made the Storm Axe tremble again.

If axes had expressions, this one would be furious.

Fandral and the others wiped their brows.

"Good god, Thor… you really don't know when to stop."

Aaron, amused by the whole situation, finally turned to Thor.

"So, what brings you here?"

"Aaron, I'm here to invite you to my coronation ceremony. We're holding a grand celebration, and we'll be inviting gods from all realms."

"Of course, Zeus won't be invited."

Aaron chuckled.

"Don't worry, I'll be there. Congratulations, Thor—you're finally completing the ceremony and becoming king."

But outside, a loud boom interrupted them.

Looking out the window, they saw Thor and the others lying in a heap of rubble.

The cause?

Storm Axe had cut off their Bifrost journey.

Thor sat up, confused.

"Storm Axe, what is wrong with you today?!"

Fandral and the others groaned.

"Thor… just stop talking."

Inside, Wanda and Gwen burst into laughter.

Sif was also quite intrigued by the conversation.

"You think, with the Storm Axe, Thor has any chance of finding a girlfriend?"

Just as the others were about to dive into this discussion, a sudden loud crash echoed from outside.

Turning to the window, they saw Thor and his companions scrambling to their feet amid a pile of rubble, looking utterly bewildered.

Thor, brushing dust off himself, muttered in frustration, "Storm Axe, what's wrong with you? Why are you acting so weird today?"

"Thor, stop talking!!"

Fandral and the others quickly pulled him aside, their faces burning with embarrassment.

Did this count as collateral damage?

Fortunately, Irene had reacted quickly, using magic to steady herself the moment the Storm Axe interrupted Bifrost. Otherwise, she would have shared the same fate as the others, caught off guard and sent tumbling.

Watching the scene unfold, the four onlookers burst into laughter, unable to hold back their amusement.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Earth…

A mysterious portal, shimmering with intricate symbols, opened in the air.

From within, Hercules stepped forward, setting foot once more on this primitive world he hadn't visited in ages.

Scanning his surroundings, he picked a direction at random and began his journey.

Exiled by Zeus, he had no allies, no support, and no resources.

He was on his own.

But that didn't concern him. After all, he was a god. And what did he have to fear from a planet full of mortals?

"God of Magic, God Slayer…"

"You both better be ready!"

Hatred burned in Hercules' heart for Aaron and the others—those responsible for his downfall. But his primary target was the God Slayer.

Only by slaying that monster could he return to the Almighty City and earn Zeus' forgiveness.

Though he prided himself on his bravery, he couldn't deny a lingering unease. The God Slayer's reputation was well-earned, after all. Even Hercules, mighty as he was, felt a shadow of doubt creeping in.

Which is why he planned to seek allies—particularly the remnants of Asgard's divine pantheon still scattered across the land.

Yet, in his eagerness for revenge, he failed to notice a figure silently trailing him from the shadows…

Far across the vast expanse of space…

Following Aaron's orders, Gamora, Nebula, Star-Lord, and the rest of their crew set course for Kree Empire territory.

Though Star-Lord and the others had little interest in this mission, they had no choice but to follow through—mostly because of Gamora.

What started as a reluctant journey soon turned into a shocking discovery.

The deeper they ventured, the clearer it became.

The Kree Empire—once a mighty galactic power—was crumbling.

Its downfall was inevitable.
