I was blessed from the service, it had talked about reconciliation between man and God. I could not stop replacing the words, God with peace and man with Thane. It was a splendid service.
I got on my bed with a loud thud after showering with the business card that I had taken from my suit. I rotated round about my hands and I became curious. Why would a little boy have a business card. It ,must be for his mother. I smiled as I remembered how they waved at me.
" I wonder what business he runs." I said as I became curious. I wanted to know what company. I saw GREEN FOODS on it.
' It was important to me, it really was but I could not quite put my finger around where I had seen the company's name.
Tun, tun, tun tun. The phone dialed a 'do ray me'note. As I dialed the number, I looked up and it was 8: 25 pm .
" Hello,"
" Hello, who is this, my mother is not home. Please do tell so that I can leave a message."
" You are the little girl with the glasses and the red bow."
I heard silence in the background and when I heard sound again , I could hear rumblings at the background and light hearted banter.
" The color of my bow was a maroon-pinkish one"
" Oh thank you for the correction, I will take note. How have you guys been"
" Mr T. we have been waiting for your call for ages. We almost thought that you had forgotten us" that voice, I recognized the voice. The one who had gave me the card.
" I- I – I wrote a superhero novella about how you save- saved-d us"
" Oh really? That sounds wonderful. I can't wait to read my featured self in capes."
" I read the story, he wasn't able to capture your charm and glow in the book. I would give him a five over ten" I heard the girl speak.
" thank you so much for giving my book such a rating big sis"
"My pleasure."
I shook my head back and forth and while smiling. I relaxed on my bed and I started fiddling around with the collar I had in my hands.
" Mr T, you know that day you helped us kick that bad man into prison?"
" oh yes, what happened did he come to you three's school again?"
" No! no…no.. he didn't, he was my mothers worker…he was instructed to help pick us up" I heard the voice of the little guy who always minced his words and was slow to respond. Looks like he felt the urge to speak to me because his voice sounded forced.
"What! I am so sorry guys. I really am. I hope your mother did not scold you for not cooperating with her employee ?"
" No our mom is the best! she knows that we were only being security aware. Our mommy hugged us and we had a wonderful meal with the whole family that day." Her voice sounded animated and it was filled with confidence in her mom.
" She is our superwoman!" I heard the boy who called me Mr T speak.
" She sounds like a wonderful woman." Hearing that their mom had not scolded them after he had imprisoned one of her employee made me think what kind of woman she really was.
Was she partial with her employee. Promoting workers enslavement by making him do random work she was supposed to do. Could she not contact their dad to help pick them up? Or was she really trying to promoting security conscience?
" Well your mother is just trying to protect you."
" Sir, s-sir. Do you have a mommy that you hold hand with?"
" a momy…" I realized that they were asking whether i had a wife. This children were quite amusing.
" A yes and no kiddo."
" I Nancy treasure wants a clear answer from you Mr Thane"I could hear her sob a bit, like she was panicking because her words came out in a hurry. My head ached me, as soon as I realized that they had the same surname with….
"wait. yesterday , at the award. The person that was announced for Green foods owner was…was. wait, I also signed a collaboration contract with Green food. And wait this is Peace's , Peaces's children??!!
