"Papa? There are only two beds. Where's Sylvy going to sleep?"
"She'll sleep on your bed tonight, you wanna sleep with me?"
Emily glanced back at the smaller bed that was originally meant for her.
"But isn't it too small"
"Wait, you're letting me sleep on a bed?" Sylvy's question cut through the entire room. Emily looked at her as if she were an alien.
Ignoring her asinine question, Damien continued to speak. Sure he was a prick-and he knew that but letting a woman sleep on the ground while he comfortably slept on the bed wouldn't sit right with him unless it held some purpose.
"Let's push them together so she'll have more space"
The two of them proceeded to push the beds together while Sylvy stared at them blankly.
"You know, if you expect to be treated badly, I'll be happy to oblige"
