What we saw that day looked like an abandoned spaceship. The ancient, rusty orbiter had a thick, veiny, magenta flesh that were connected to the ground underneath it. But that wasn't the reason why we were in horror. What made us truly tremble in fear was the orb placed to the engine compartment.
Planet Core is similar to a Force Core. While a Force Core stores the energy it collects and transforms it into Force, a PlanetCore gives energy and life to a planet. Their core is only used solely for giving energy and life to the world. However, Black Hole seemed to defy the laws of the universe and was able to use the Planet Core of Kuria as a weapon of mass destruction by using the Planet Core as a power up to boost their spaceship's power.
However, the orb was no longer recognized as a Planet Core. Its appearance had completely changed. It was still glowing in amethyst light, but the energy it had inside was exuding a huge amount of sinister energy. The sinister energy then brought death to its surroundings. And when I said death, I meant it brought forth Fiends to life.
"Prepare to fight, everyone!" I roared as countless Fiends rushed in every direction, encircling us with their numbers.
The battle was deadly. We weren't faring any better at all because we were all tired. No matter how strong we were and experienced we were, fatigue was the only opponent we couldn't defeat. To make it worse, we couldn't use Force nor call for reinforcements due to the Anti-Energy Arrays and No Zone Arrays preventing us from using both.
"Darn it! No matter how many I slay, they keep coming with more numbers!" Math said while he kept swinging his bastard sword against the incoming horde of Fiends. A Fiend tried to swing its sharp claws at Math's back, but Rover killed the Fiend before it could land its attack. "Thank you, bro!"
"There seems to be no end against them!" Mors said. He swung his gigantic axe in a 180 degrees arc, cutting the horde of Fiends in half. Meanwhile, me and Rena pushed forward, swinging our blades together in the midst of the formation. Despite the tiredness flushing at us, we didn't stop nor slowed our attacks.
"We have to destroy the core! It is giving life to Fiends and making them even more powerful!" I said. Everyone nodded and began to move in offensive.
Mors led the formation, breaking through their numbers by widely swinging his gigantic axe. After he cut through the lines of the enemies, me and Rena would push forward to break their connections and space them out. At the same time, Math and Rover would jump in the middle of the horde as a distraction. The moment that the Fiends turned their backs at us, Conex and Max would use that opportunity to attack them from behind.
We kept repeating the same strategy until we reached the core. Without hesitation, I lunged my blade forward, piercing the core to pieces until there was no more light gleaming from it. The sinister energy was released in the air as well, making gravity heavy and the surrounding temperature cold.
With that, the numbers of the Fiend decreased also. The victory was tipped at us and after a few minutes, the fight was over.
Alas, we weren't doing any better as well. We were all wounded and tired. However, we were glad that in the end because we were all alive and finally accomplished our mission.
