The longer we had dived deeper, the thinner the oxygen became. We were slowly suffocating in the dark with no light to help us see. The oxygen was so small that the torch made by Mors became useless.
We all cramped to each other, our hands never letting go of each other's shoulders. I was at the front, behind me was Rena, Math, Rover, Conex, Mors, and Max at the back. He was still wounded, but that didn't stop him from moving with us.
As we got deeper in the darkness, we began to hallucinate. It was then followed by a tight knot in our stomach that made us want to throw up because of the lack of air and nutrients in our bodies. We tried to use Force to see if we were away from the Anti-Energy Arrays, but there was still no energy to call upon. We tried using Radar, but there was still no signal reaching to where we were.
The journey reached the point that I wanted to turn around and just give up. But Rena had to remind me how far we had reached. Giving up now means a massive lost in our side because we failed to do our mission. And failure brings death, just like what happened to Kuria.
We lost track of time. We lost track of our sense of direction. We don't know if we were moving forward or we were moving in circles. The only thing that kept us from going crazy was each other's touch, but not even that was helping the longer we stayed in the dark.
Alas, our Creator never abandoned us.
We stumbled upon a huge, steel door. We slowly opened the hatch, and a mauve luminescence gleamed through the shadows, slowly eliminating the darkness around us. We were supposed to be glad. We were supposed to rejoice because we finally reached our destination and were able to finally complete our long mission. But what we saw that day, froze us in terror.
"W-What is that?" Rena asked, her voice was trembling and so does her body.
Math tried to move, but his body refused to listen. "I want to run, but I can't." He said out loud while he was staring hard in horror at the terrifying image in front of us.
"What should we do, sergeant?" Mors asked. "Sergeant?"
My mind was spinning at its full gear. My vision was stuck at the object in front of us. I had an urge to move forward and destroy it before it became a threat to the universe. But my body refused to listen to me as well. I could hear my heart beating fast and my blood rushing faster through my veins. I instinctively tried to call upon the Force, but to no avail.
"Flower!" Mors called my named loudly, snapping me from my own world.
"Destroy." I muttered softly.
"What?" Rena asked.
"We'll... destroy that thing!" I said with rage and terror behind my voice. Despite the fear that was overshadowing me, that didn't stop me from taking a step forward with one goal in life: to destroy whatever that thing was.
