Mickey tried to calm Maria down who was glaring at Xavier murderously, while he was looking at Mickey strangely. Up until now, Mickey acted like he was this tough gangster, looking at everyone with variations of rage that Xavier didn't know existed. Looking at him trying to calm Maria down, who looked like an angry kitten in Xavier's eyes, seemed strange.
"And what about you? Why were you thrown in this hell hole, besides being an asshole?" Maria asked in a snarky tone and Xavier's eyes glazed over a bit as memories flashed through his mind.
"I don't want to talk about it." Xavier said and they continued walking. As they continued to walk, they noticed red and green blood splatter on the ground and Xavier signalled for them to be quiet as they continued to walk. Following some blood droplets on the ground, they soon found the corpses of a seven goblins, their monster stones already carved out, but the red blood splatter continued.
"C'mon Rosie, Anna, the two of you can survive this." A woman said, obviously sobbing. Looking into a clearing, they could see four women, two of them were injured and the other two women were putting pressure on their wounds. Looking closely, Xavier's eyes locked onto one of the injured women, who had fiery red hair and red eyes, her most defining traits. Her name was Rosie, the prisoner who told them about the Savage Wolves to the south the previous day. Next to her, was the other injured woman with short blonde hair, and a cute, childish face, and Xavier assumed she was Anna.
"What should we do?" Mickey asked
"Help them, obviously." Maria said, looking at him
"And how do you propose we do that?" Xavier asked, and Maria opened her mouth, but no words came out. She realized where they were, and just how dire the situation was. They had zero supplies and any injury here meant death, especially an abdominal wound like Rosie and Anna had. Seeing the helpless look on her face, Xavier smiled in satisfaction and left from their shared hiding spot, surprising both his companions who quickly followed.
"Who goes their?" One of the women asked nervously as she pointed her spear in their direction.
"Relax, we are here to help." Xavier said as he held up his hands, and stopped when he saw how nervous the women were.
"I know you. Aren't you that guy who asked me about the south gate yesterday?" Rosie said and coughed up some blood
"Yep. The name's Xavier and these are Maria and Mickey." Xavier said and walked forward, and he looked at the woman with the spear before continuing forward.
"How can you help me? I don't see a first aid kit with you." Rosie chuckled
"I'll give you something better." He said, and lifted her hand and tapped on the stigma tattoo on the back of her hand.
"Listen closely, because I'll tell you s secret. The stigma window works on thought, and if you increase your VIT attribute, you might be able to survive your wounds. All you have to do is think it." Xavier said, tapping her forehead and Rosie looked at him skeptically before trying it and her eyes widened when a notification appeared infront of her.
"You should do the same too. Unless you would rather bleeding to death." Xavier said, turning to Anna and she nodded weakly. Xavier stopped crouching and walked over to Mickey, and handed him his bag.
"I'm gonna pick a few of those fruits." He said and Mickey nodded his head. The fruits on these trees looked like orange lemons, and soon they falling to the ground like rain. Mickey managed to fill the bag, but there was still plenty of them on the ground.
"Eat, it'll help you recover. Trust me." Mickey said, handing some of the fruits to Rosie and Anna, which they gladly accepted. The seven of them then sat down on the ground and ate the fruits that Xavier picked. Unlike the avacadoes which were sour and the red apples which barely had any taste, the orange lemons were actually sweet. As the seven of them leisurely chatted, and the two other women introduced themselves. The one with the spear, who had silver hair and blue eyes, was Bella. And the other one, who had black hair and brown eyes was Ava.
"Thank you Xavier, the sisterhood owes you a great deal." Rosie said with a tense expression on her face.
"Relax, we aren't going to ask you for your monster stones, but what I do want is an alliance. We help you, you help us, we share information and we don't stab each other in the back. Deal?" Xavier asked and Rosie chuckled
"Deal. Although honestly speaking, you might as well join my little gang if that's what you want." Rosie said with a mischievous
"Naw, with a name like sisterhood, I assumed that it's girls only. Even if it isn't, I'd be a laughingstock if people knew I joined a gang called Sisterhood." Xavier said and Rosie chuckled once more
"Either way, thanks again, but we must get going. We still don't have enough monster stones to pay the Warden's ridiculous tax." Rosie said and stood up with a groan, as she covered her wound. Although the bleeding has stopped, she was far from a full recovery.
"Stay safe, I wouldnt want you dying right after I just saved your life." Xavier said as he got up as well.
"Thanks, and same to you. I would hate to return the favour so quickly." Rosie said, and Xavier smiled.
