Arthur and Maki home, Earth 2032
After laying on his bed for 30 minutes Jeremiah gets up and finds the office.
He sits down at the desk and powers on the computer. When it finally boots up, he inputs the password that Maki gave him. He struggles for a few minutes to find a web browser before actually finding one, and looks up different stores while looking for a suitable phone.
"Shit. How can I order anything? I don't have access to any money right now. Maybe her credit cards are connected to a store." Jeremiah finds a website she frequents and looks at the account information. "Well I'm in luck."
He scrolled through a few different websites for a while, before finally deciding on a cheap phone for now. He places the order to be delivered later in the day.
Jeremiah then takes this time to browse the Internet and learn of things that's his siblings may have forgotten to tell him. He notices that there were multiple rebellions that were greatly under exaggerated.
A few countries completely collapsed from the pressure and are now under joint leadership from major powers. Most underdeveloped countries that couldn't resist. The conflicts were much bloodier than he imagined.
As he goes deeper into the rabbit hole he realizes that his siblings didn't want him to find out and only to rest. He continues to search deeper and deeper to find out what has truly been happening.
All his research leads him to the same point. The Hell Project. Almost every single event that has happened in the past four years is the effect of the Hell Project. A few attempts of people attempting to cast spells, demonic ritual with deaths of hundreds, and pushback from the church caused infighting in quite a lot of countries.
As he reads this a few sparks appear in his eyes. He slowly stands up to digest all the information he just came into contact with. He takes a few steps away before he falls down clutching his head as he remembers what happened in his dreams.
Lightning flashes in his eyes a few times as the pain subside. Most of the dreams are gibberish, but a small portion of them he understands. He lifts his hands and tries to call on this unknown power.
"Come on. It shouldn't be that hard." Outside of his house the sunny day suddenly turns cloudy. People look up and wonder what happened for storm clouds to suddenly appear.
Jeremiah puts all his concentration into summoning anything that he doesn't notice the changes outside. When he finally thinks he has something, lightning strikes a few blocks down, with way more forces than a normal lightning strike.
The thunder that follows the strike shatters windows and causes eardrums to burst. Finally, Jeremiah looks up and notices how dark it has gotten. He stands up and strides over to the window that now has small fractures in it.
Outside he sees a tree on fire with most of its leaves missing and some glint on the ground near it. People are running around outside looking to see where the attack came from only to see that it's only a tree on fire. Some are complaining about their windows being shattered since they were so close to ground zero.
Jeremiah looks down at his hands and clenches them in disbelief, but also slight enjoyment, as he realizes the power he now has. In the distance the sirens of a fire truck are heard. The sirens progressively get louder until it comes to a stop in front of the tree.
Jeremiah watches the firefighter quickly put out the fire and thinks to himself, "Maybe I should keep this hidden for now." He closes the curtains to the office and sits back down at the desk. He closes his eyes and carefully feels the powers within him.
