Hell Project Headquarters, Earth 2023
"My Lady, I have an urgent report." Wade yells from outside her door.
"Enter Wade." Celeste tells him from inside the room.
Wade enters the room and closes the door behind him. He walks over to the table Celeste is sitting at, and he gets on one knee to give his report. "My Lady. There has been a spike in divine power in the city. It is believed to be roughly a couple of blocks away from Jeremiah's new residence."
"Who is Jeremiah?" Celeste asks with interest.
"Sorry my Lady. That is the name of the current son of the god of lightning. It is suspected that this surge of power came from him, but we cannot confirm it." Wade explains to her.
"And why is that Wade? It should be easy for us to monitor and detect any type of power system in this world." Celeste turns her body towards him and questions him.
"There are two reasons. The first one is that it is an isolated incident so we were not actively monitoring the area. The second one is that he accessed his power much sooner than you foretold." Wade explains why he did not detect Jeremiah's attack before it happened.
Celeste looks at him and begins tapping her fingers on her desk. "Tell me the sequence of events, and please stand up. I get tired of looking down on you."
"Yes my Lady." He stood up and brushed off some dust that landed on him. "About 30 seconds before his attack or unintentionally attack the sky suddenly turned dark. From witnesses there and weather reports it was supposed to be clear skies all day. The clouds that came in were just the indicator of the attack."
He conjured a projection to show an example. "After it covered almost two square miles in a very short period of time, it suddenly sent down a bolt of lightning." The projection adds a bolt of lightning at the eye of the clouds.
"This lightning then struck a tree, instantly lighting it on fire and shattering the windows within 500 feet of the epicenter. It also caused some people's eardrums to burst." He dismissed the projection after telling her everything that he knows.
Celeste replays the sequence of events in her mind before coming to a decision. "This is very concerning. I expected him to awaken along with the majority after the gates were finally open. Go find Edward and Bella. Their orders are to monitor him until the gates are open. We do not need any mishaps this late into the project."
"I shall have it done." He bows towards her and exits the room. He takes out his phone and dials Edwards' number.
"Yes Wade." Wade answers with a slightly annoyed tone.
"You have an assignment. Remember that guy you and Bella were taking care of." Wade asks him.
"Yeah he was discharged earlier today. Why the sudden interest in him again?" Edward gets slightly annoyed at the mention of Jeremiah.
"There has been an issue now you and Bella have to watch him for the next three days, or until otherwise." Wade tells him.
On the other side of the call Edwards face bunches up and he heavily sighs. "Alright we'll do it." He hangs up the phone before giving Wade the chance to respond.
"Bella, we have a new assignment." He calls out to her.
Bella pokes her head out of a room. "What is it this time?"
"We have to watch the Jeremiah guy for a few more days. At least until the gates are open." He responds back to her.
"Fuck. I'm guessing this is an order from the Mistress." She walks out of the room with flour covering her.
Edward looks at the mess she is but ignores it. "Most likely. I hung up before he had a chance to say anything else, it could be from him."
"Alright so when do we leave?" She asked him in an angry voice.
"We leave whenever you're done with whatever you got going on in the kitchen, and you clean up. Also bring whatever you bake."
He stands up and walks to his bedroom to start preparing, while Bella walks back to the kitchen to finish baking.
