Chapter 19 - A portal (3)

Soo Min-ji felt her bones trembling with fear, confusion, something else she couldn't quite wrap her head around. It was him-- it.. he had his kingdom now?

She swallowed hard as she tried to digest everything that was happening in that minute.

"Welcome to my abode," he leaned back on his crystal like throne, crossing his legs.

"Wh- what do you want from me?" She asked with her teeth clattering.

"Oh, I did say I was going to get my revenge, didn't I? You thought I was going to let it slide just like that?"

Her heart rammed inside of her chest, swear already dripping from her hair all over her face.

Ripperborn uncrossed his legs, getting to his feet.

"You really thought I was going to let it slide hm?" He sauntered towards her.

With each step he took, the floor beneath her trembled. His voice sent chills down her spine, causing her to tremble the more. There was no way she was actually going to ever defeat this thing!

He paused in his tracks studying her expression before grinning so wide. It was so awkward, and terrifying at the same time. Like he literally didn't have any lips, how was he grinning?

"Do not be so shocked now," he placed his hands behind him, "There are more to come."

He looked over his shoulders, then nodded.

Four fleshbinders appeared behind him, all of them marching towards Soo Min-ji.

[Beep! Host is to defeat all four fleshbinders.]

Soo Min-ji bit her lower lip hard. Did this system actually notice she was in hell right now?

 A new interface appeared.

[Host would be able to defeat all of these zombies here within minutes!]

[Use the aid of the crescent moon blade plus sound distraction, and environment to your advantage!]

Soo Min-ji slowly got to her feet, whipping out her crescent moon blade, "I have got a world to build. You shouldn't be the reason I'm lagging behind."

She narrowed her eyes, "Bring it on."

One of the fleshbinders leapt at her, but Min-ji was ready. She had long calculated the speed of these binders.

She quickly slid to the side before it could pounce on her. Her sudden movement caught it off guard, and.. SWIPE! Its head was rolling on the floor.

 "Impossible," Ripperborn muttered.

"You fools! Do not just stand there, and watch he! Get her! Now!" He thundered.

[One fleshbinder down! Three more to go!]

A knowing smirk appeared on her lips, "Of course," she swung her blade at the other fleshbinder who wasted no time in pinning her down.

"Ugh!" She grimaced badly, sticking her tongue out in disgust.

"Agh!" She struck it in the eyes to disarm it, then with one clean arc of her blade its head was off.

Quickly rolling over to the side so the black blood wouldn't smear on her, she rolled to her feet. Her head was spinning from all of the commotion in just minutes.

"I do not know much this is supposed to take!"

She clenched the handle of her blade as she swept off the heads of the fleshbinders who wanted to attack at once with one fatal blow of the blade.

"I hope you fuck yourself and never come back!" She staggered back to her feet, a satisfied grin plastered on her face.

 [Leveled up!]

[Leveled up!]

[Leveled up!]

[Leveled up!]

"Level seven ha!" She spread her legs apart looking over at Ripperborn, "Oh well, there goes your most priced soldiers!"

"Kill her!" He roared at the shamblers who stood all around in her.

She cracked her neck, "Let us finish this!"

She rolled between the legs of the shamblers, to other side of the big room.

"How would you survive when you are all crushed under these walls?" She rested her right hand on the wall.

[Warning! That is a very dangerous option! Host could be swept off with the zombies too!]

She cursed under breath, "Damn it! What should I do now?"

[Noise distraction!]

She sucked in all the air she could.

"AAAAAHHHH!"

She screamed at the top of her lungs, then began stomping on the glossy floor. The echos of her scrams rippled through the hall.

The intensity of her screams made the shamblers pause trying to collect themselves.

Min-ji saw that they were off their guard, so she sprang into action.

Whoosh!

She flew past a dozen of them, swiping all their heads as she ran past. Stamping so hard on her right leg, she made them flinch while she just thrust their insides mercilessly tearing them apart.

Unfortunately for her, they were too many for just one person. Hence, the multitude of the angry dead men were closing in on her.

"Oh boy. Min-ji think of something fast!" She took off three of the shamblers heads as she rolled on her side to avoid their blows.

"Make sure she doesn't live! Kill her! Crush her mercilessly!" Ripperborn's cries filled the hall.

'Make sure you crush them instead Min-ji! Do not back down!'

She huffed as she immediately got to her feet as soon as she saw some space.

"Come on, use the sound distraction again,"

She exhaled deeply. She tried to scream again, but her larynx was having none of it. It cried in protest, it just couldn't scream anymore.

"Oh boy. Oh no," her voice dropped to a whisper.

'If I am not fasr enough, I will soon be dead meat!'

She spotter something shiny at the corner of her eye.

CRASH!!!

It went through the wall just a few inches above her head.

"What in the name of the apocalypse!" She flinched, immediately bolting away from that place.

It was a large spear, larger than her, and some of the shamblers combined.

It was no doubt Ripperborn's.

"Damn it! You deserve to die!" Ripperborn charged at her.

The tiny hands all over its body had completely shrunken back in. She could see vein like cords literally popping out of its body.

Her heart once again dropped to her stomach. He had already had enough, so he wanted to just finish her off himself.

Rather than standing around waiting to die again, she took to her heels running in another direction.

"Aegenesis?! What am I supposed to do now?"

[Error; could not possibly detect its strengths and weaknesses]

"Of course. She knows nothing about him," she hissed.

There was heavy thud, and BOOM! A loud rumble followed as she felt her feet being swept off the ground.

She fell face flat on the hard floor. Her head went blank in that instant.

'"Damn it."

She felt the heavy rumbling behind her, "You are going to die today."

Her whole body froze. Chills travelled down from her spine to the legs, trapping them in place. She couldn't move even if she wanted to.

[Location compromised. Threat level: Critical.]

A strange humming sound vibrated beneath her palms, growing louder with each passing second. Suddenly, thin tendrils of pale blue light began to spiral up from the floor, curling around her legs, up to her back and arms. Her body suddenly became airbome, as though an unseen force was holding her in mid air.

[Initializion complete]

In the blink of an eye, she was gone, swallowed by the light.
