I stared at the pink tube in my hands, as the two straight lines bored into my soul. I gripped the test tightly and squeezed the pack. I glanced at the several tests laid out on the sink that I'd taken, the same result staring back at me in the face.
"This can't be happening," I said, gripping my hair tightly.
I paced, holding the test tightly in my hands.
"These are wrong. I need to take more tests."
I jumped when a loud knock came from the other side of the door.
"Everything alright in there?" Tara asked.
"No," I mumbled silently.
"You've been in there for a while."
I was going crazy.
"Mia?" she called.
I collapsed on the bathroom floor slowly, my grip tight on the tube.
"Okay, I'm coming in now," she said, opening the door and popping her head in.
I looked up, meeting her gaze.
"What do I do?" I asked.
She walked in and stared at the five tests that laid on the sink, all with the same two lines on them. She blew a breath and shook her head.
