"This doesn't look right," Tara said, wiping the sweat off her forehead.
I gripped the shovel tighter. "Tell me about it."
"Man, I had no idea burying a body took this much work," she sighed deeply.
"I never had to worry about burying bodies. That was the Disposal Team work," my mouth twitched as beads of sweat dripped down my skin.
"Do you think that's deep enough," she paused and stared at the hole in the ground.
"I think so. Just a little more deeper," I said.
"Well, can't we get someone to do this?" she asked.
I pushed the shovel into the sand. "Sure, Tara. Let me just check @shadyjobs.net to see if we can hire anyone to bury a fucking body in our fucking backyard!"
She paused, staring at me. "Pregnancy's made you even bitchier."
I sighed. "Sorry. I'm just hot and hormonal."
"Don't I know it?" she muttered under her breath.
The wind blew furiously and I stared at the sky. It was starting to get darker. "Come on, let's dig faster."
