Leo stared at the baron coldly as he fell into thought. He knew that his actions were impulsive. He had thought of several ways in which he could have done things differently but he still chose to do it this way. Call him stubborn if you will
For one, that punch that Peter threw at Christina's back would have definitely broken it. His UP could probably heal her injury but why take the risk and let her suffer that pain unnecessarily
The second reason, Pride. As much as he didn't want to admit it. He had taught the girls when to bow there heads, when to hold their tongue, bide your time until you can do things differently
Acting on impulse often feels good but only in the moment, it's usually followed by consequences
Like right now, if the Baron orders the guards to attack them, he'll more than likely have to kill them. He never killed a human before, but he doubted that it was that different from a Skeleton warrior
A Skeleton warrior with flesh if you will. His pride as a reincarnator, his pride given to him by his strength. He once thought
' why should I listen to someone who can only rely on their daddy for what they have '
Was it right? No. Did he have to work on it? Yes. Will he continue going with it for right now? Also yes
The sound of slow clapping snapped him out of his thoughts, following the source he found that the Baron was looking at him with a pleased expression while clapping his hand
Leo glanced at Hilda in confusion, finding that she also had a bewildered expression, Leo watched the Baron ride to this side and climbed down from his horse, patting him on the shoulder with a smile
" Lord Thomas was right about you "
" huh? "

A hour later. Leo sat inside the baron's office, reading a letter with a strange expression before he raised his head and glanced at the Baron who was drinking tea calmly
The letter he was reading was from Thomas. It seems that before he flew off, he left a letter for the Baron
The gist of the letter was, how he saw his potential and how he would be a great help to the baron in his battle against his older brothers. He could test him, if he failed that test, the Baron could ignore this letter.
But if it passed, he should grant him the title of squire and provide him any required assistance.
The reason why he had such a strange expression is because of the not so veiled threat contained in the letter if Thomas found out anything happened to him
He honestly didnt understand why Thomas did so much for him but he honestly wasn't complaining
" so what now? " asked Leo as he neatly folded the letter and placed it on the baron's table
" didn't the letter state everything? " asked the Baron, turning his attention to Leo while still drinking his tea
" I get that but I'm not sure what help you can provide me nor am I sure what help I'm supposed to provide you " said Leo calmly, not intending to hide his thoughts as all cards were now laid in the open
Hearing his words, the Baron looked at him in surprise, not expecting such a blunt response, he was fully expecting him to beat around the Bush
" I want the skills you used to train those girls of yours, for this I'll give you permission to sell all of your fish to the merchants and a source for where you can purchase armor " said the Baron with a serious expression as he held up 2 fingers
Hearing his words, Leo thought about it for a while, before he spoke
" I won't give you the skills I used for the girls " Leo ignored the change in the Baron's expression as he continued " but I can improve the skills they currently have and I'll train your guards, so they have similar quality to my group but i don't need the armor source, i want information "
" improve them how? " asked the Baron in clear disbelief which then turned to anger thinking that Leo was playing him
" my family, has collected several skills, we pride ourselves on combining and improving these skills while lowering the difficulty, which is why my girls got so strong so rapidly " he had heard the rumours that he was a fallen noble so he went with it
Hearing this, the Baron's breathing grew rapid as he looked at Leo
" what information do you want? "

Leo returned to the barracks, carrying several books, which covered topics from History, geography to customs in this world
These are what he traded with the Baron. According to the baron, only nobles have access to these books. These costed him an intermediate level skill.
As for the guard skills, he will received them tomorrow. He told the Baron he'd deliver the new skills to him next week, though he only needed to a few minutes
Walking past the girls who had started training, while discussing what had happened earlier, he came to his room, to read through the books
Opening the history book he started to read it
Year 3335. A bandit queen discovered a way to kill demonic creatures easily. Using this way, she rapidly amassed a following of people
Year 3346. The blood queen, led a team of 50 red ones alongside an army to take over a small country
Year 3354. Under the means of the blood queen and her team. This country rapidly expanded devouring all the surrounding countries and grew into a large kingdom
Year 3365. It was discovered that red ones have the ability to rapidly train troops, to a level that would take decades in as little as a year. Turning a simple farmer into a veteran soldier
Seeing this information, Leo frowned as he remembered Rebecca's Archery skill. Right, he suddenly remembered Hilda's skill
He had asked her what it was and found that she was really reluctant to answer. After his persuasion, she finally answered, she's a cook. But her cooking skill required blood food, which hasn't been seen in centuries making her skill useless
He could still remember her expression when he showed her the blood potato. Her skill increased the effects of blood food, ie increasing caloric content or protein content. The most important as that she could increase the amount of blood nodes
So she became the exclusive cook for the group. Snapping out of his thoughts he focused back on the book
Year 3380. The blood queen and her army annexed another kingdom. Which accelerated the growth of her power, which finally drew the attention of the surrounding kingdoms, two of which banded together to suppress her
Year 3400. After 20 years of consistent war, the blood queen's armies prevailed. With her team of red ones, she could replenish soldiers much faasster than the two kingdoms, leading to their downfall
Year 3401. The blood queens kingdom fell apart. The blood queen and her team of red ones disappeared, with their disappearance, the kingdom was easily destroyed by the surrounding kingdoms
Leo read the remainder finding that it was just the history of this kingdoms royal family, not finding much interest. Finding that his attention was completely on the blood queen
" what happened to them? " muttered Leo as he thought back to the effect Rebecca's arrows had on the skeleton warrior. A team of 50 would do wonders. But it also explained why red ones were hunted
They didn't want the emergence of another blood queen. They didn't even have to hunt then themselves, they just had to fool the masses and they'd do the work for them
Shaking away his thoughts, Leo focused his attention on a book which spoke about Knights.
They're 9 levels, several stages such as
Apprentice Knights
Bronze Knights
Silver Knights
Gold Knights
Grand Knights
Apprentice Knights is about strengthening the body with the use of skills before introducing magical energy to give birth to a Ki seed
Bronze Knights, with the use of Ki seeds, no longer focus on strengthening their strength but on the growth of their realm which increases the magical energy contained within
The ki seed then turns this magical energy into Ki which has the ability to amplify strength and speed when applied to limbs. The larger the ki seed, the larger the amplifying effect
Seeing this information, he wasn't surprised at how easily he suppressed Peter. From his experimentation alongside the input of Hilda, he drew several conclusions
5 magical units is required to enhance base strength. If 0-5 magical units are used to create Ki seed, you can increase your strength by 100%
If 6-10 magical units are used, you can increase your strength by 200%
If 11-15 are used, you can increase your strength by 300%
If 16-20 are used, you can increase your strength by 400%
If 21-24 are used, you can increase your strength by 500%
If you have 25, you can increase your strength by 1000%
Just based on those differences, he didn't even have to double his strength to catch Peter's punch nor beat him
This book merely confirmed his findings, as Leo continued reading, he felt his eyes widening in surprise
The largest effect of Ki is not amplification but damage. 20 units of magical energy are required to launch a ki slash which has the ability to destroy a 2 story house.
The more ki used, the stronger the attack. The more ki the user has the more attacks he can release. This is what truly separates Bronze Knights from mortals....
