Zi Zhen sighed and rested his head back against the leather seat. His jaw tightened. Recalling how her mother had fallen into his arms all bloody, his heart always constricted, feeling pain. That image was deeply ingrained in his mind.
"I'm not hiding," he said after a while. "I'm waiting for the perfect time to unleash all the wrath. Just waiting.... waiting...."
"Time for what?" Ting Cheng asked while chuckling, his voice deep and enticing, "A miracle?"
"No," Zi Zhen whispered, staring out at the barren hills, where the faint silhouette of their destination was beginning to show. "For redemption."
The jeep jolted as it left the main road entirely and entered a dirt path barely visible to the naked eye. Their driver glanced at them nervously through the rearview mirror but said nothing. Orders were to be followed.
"You think going back is redemption?" Ting Cheng asked, his voice incredulous. "You think about helping her start over, rebuilding from ashes, that's enough to clear our slate? She has her own emotions, she is a human being who can comprehend situations by herself."
"No. But it's something else, I would always feel guilty..." Zi Zhen replied, more to himself than to his brother. "She gave up everything. Her name, her dignity, for me. So, I have to avenge our past qualms."
Ting Cheng nodded slowly. He couldn't argue that. Their mother had been the quiet storm behind Li Cooperation, the woman behind the empire, and the woman everyone forgot to thank. But they remembered. And now, they were ready to collect that debt.

After thirty minutes of cuddling, Lu Zhi Hao was sound asleep. Apart from the incense sticks assisting someone to sleep, they contained some ingredients that could act as a sleeping pill. She was also feeling dizzy but got up and walked out of the bedroom, carefully closing the bedroom door.
She went over to the guest room that was just opposite their bedroom and dressed up in a leather jacket, wore a bulletproof vest that ran from the chest down to her abdomen, protecting her baby bump, and strapped it tightly.
She opened a secret room that had a hidden store room and got her two handguns, stacked them onto the gun holder before exiting the room and the mansion over to the garage, taking her motorbike. Riding out of the mansion was quiet, but the moment she was out into the streets, you could hear heavy engine rumbles.
Most of the people around the mansion had gone to sleep, and all the servants and guards had signed a secret agreement; whatever they saw, it was only for their eyes, unless it was something threatening and dangerous, then they could report.
She drove through the highway, she had the entire map lined up of the place after hacking into the CCTV cameras, and knew where her sons were headed. She could track them down as she was worried that they might not be able to handle the situation.

Lu Ting Cheng and Lu Zi Zhen hadn't thought they would fall into a trap so easily, and they were already outnumbered; they couldn't fight their way through it with their few and injured guards.
Their guards were injured, and the men got hold of them, tying them down in a secret room. It seemed like they had made plans for them.
"We can't let the two of you leave this place alive! You brought yourselves over, Lu Zi Zhen. I finally got hold of you." A masked cold voice spoke up as the person's footsteps echoed closer and closer as he strode over, glaring at Lu Zi Zhen menacingly.
