InTheStateHospital
Jason after much turmoil saw the message on his phone and went to the hospital to visit Mary.
"Mary Jordan, where please?"
"Who are you to her?"
"Brother."
"Alright. The 15th floor, room 257."
"Thanks."
Jason then left taking the elevator to the 15th floor.
"15th floor, why so high?"
Jason finally got there, located Mary's room and went to it.
He sat on a chair next to her as she slept.
"Hey sis, how are you doing?"
Holding her hand as the monitor checked her heartbeat beeped steadily.
"I'm glad to see you are fine and not in danger. But I did something terrible, Mary… I-I-I-I killed a man, I took his own life. Blood on my hands… The people I saved celebrated his death as my victory, but it was scary… his blood was warm, but I was cold, the cold of fear overwhelmed me… If I am to accept this inheritance from dad, does that mean I'll have to take the life of anyone who tries to hurt you?"
"Ah fuck this!"
Jason stood up pacing around in the room.
"J-Jason."
Standing still at first to know if he was dreaming or not.
"Turn around you dummy."
He turned around to see Mary awake and staring at him.
"Yo sis!"
Jason then moved to help her sit up, placing a pillow behind her.
They chatted for a while though until they both got hungry.
"I'll go get something for us to eat, argh on the ground floor."
Jason then wore his jacket and was heading for the elevator.
["Jaason."]
"Who's there?!"
Jason turned around trying to trace the voice.
["Taller than I expected, I see"]
"You a fan or something?"
Walking down the lobby Jason sorts out for this mysterious person.
["Closer, closer, and bang you've got me!"]
"Arrgghhhhhh!"
Jason gave out as he wound up at the end of the lobby, but no one was there.
"Show yourself!"
["Central National park. Mary will be waiting."]
DING!
"The hell."
Jason exclaimed as he began to stagger, and before he knew it, he found himself crashing and falling out through a window behind him.
Falling from the height of 15 good floors, Jason crashed onto a car, compressing it as blood flowed from him while he lost consciousness.
***
"Arrgh! Bloody hell!"
Jason groaned as he woke up after being knocked out.
He managed to climb down from the compressed car, regaining himself.
"Ah shit, Mary."
Recalling everything that happened, he ran home immediately.
"Alright, Shadow, you and me just one last time."
Jason climbed to the roof of their house and crouched under the moonlight.
"Whoever you are, I'm going to get you."
Immediately, he wore his mask and shot his grappling hook from his right.
Swinging across the city heading for the central national park.
"The museum has to be the best guess."
Landing in the park, Jason then walked into the 20 story high museum located in the park.
He walked stealthily towards the elevator holding and aiming his guns.
Jason entered and headed for the top floor.
DING!
"Arggh!"
"Not again."
Jason staggered, losing his balance and self, before—
CRASH!
"Wake up sleepy head."
"Wake up!!"
Jason woke up with shock as he saw himself kneeling down and his hands and legs were chained to two of pillars behind him.
"Where is she?!"
"Oh well let's take things slow shall we."
"Who are you?"
"Just a quiet guy who likes no trouble… You can call me Wraith."
Immediately, a man wearing a brown coat, white shirt, brown trousers, brown necktie, complemented with brown boots, and black metal gloves. His face was concealed with a scarecrow mask.
"What do you want from us?"
"It's simple actually… Watching you in pain, then after death."
"You are insane!"
Jason tried to stand, but was held down by the chains.
"Before we begin the pain exercise, why don't we find out what you look like under the mask."
Wraith then walked up to Jason as he knelt down and immediately he pulled off the mask.
"Jason."
A voice spoke as the lights in the room came on and Jason saw her.
"Mary."
She was tied inside the elevator ahead.
"You let her go! She has nothing to do with this. It's me you want so free her from all of this."
"Sure thing, I'll let her go alright."
Standing up, Wraith walked down across the room away from Jason.
"She's free to go, free fall."
Wraith clenched his left fist, and immediately the elevator Mary was in dropped.
"Noooo!!!!"
Jason gave out with rage as he tried to free himself, but the chains said otherwise.
"Goodbye Jason."
Wraith said as he jumped through a window out of the building.
"Come on! Come on!"
Jason was trying to stand, resisting the chains and trying to break through, while Mary was tied in the elevator which was falling hard heading for the ground.
"Arrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!"
With an enraged voice , Jason gave out as he pulled hard breaking and shattering the pillars that the chains were hooked to.
"I'm coming Mary!"
Jason then dived down, heading towards the elevator and not bothered about the chains yoked to his wrists and ankles.
"Come on!!!"
Jason got to the elevator as he held the wire of the elevator with his left, and immediately shot his grappling hook up to the roof of the building with his right.
RIP!
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!"
Screaming in pain, he could literally feel his tissues and muscles ripping apart slowly.
"I'll get you out, don't worry!"
Jason then after much strain, managed to hook his right grappling hook to the elevator to buy him enough time.
Quickly, he moved into the elevator and untied Mary.
"Just hang on tight, we'll get out of this definitely."
Reassuring her to make her feel safe, Jason then carried her as they got to the top of the elevator.
"The wire's breaking."
Mary notified as Jason looked up to see his grappling hook couldn't take it any much longer.
"We have to go no—"
SNAP! FALL!
The hook broke, as the elevator fell with great force, and Mary almost fell off.
"I got you!"
Jason held her as the elevator was falling with great speed then locked eyes with his sister.
"No, no, don't think about it."
Mary cried as she spoke, but Jason did otherwise.
Jason quickly took off his left glove, wore it on Mary, pulled her up to him.
"We can go together, don't worry sis, it is strong enough for both of us."
Mary then hugged Jason as he shot the grappling hook up, but then this happened.
"Arrgghhhhhh!"
The chains that were yoked to Jason's ankles and wrists got trapped and stuck to the elevator holding him down.
"You have to let go, Mary."
Jason said as Mary held his hand not to let him go.
"No, I won't."
"The grappling hook will hit its limit and we both will have no way of escaping anymore."
"I'm fine with that brother."
"Oh don't be stupid. Live for me."
Jason then pushed Mary off, setting himself loose as she was pulled up, while he pulled down.
"Nooo, you can't leave me!!!!!"
"I love you Mary, I love you."
With great force, speed, and energy, the elevator moved down, as Jason then closed his eyes.
And then, with a loud bang—
BOOM! BOOOMMM!! BOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!
