Rose hurriedly put away the map of the capital and skimmed the the others. Then she grabbed one, a large map that slipped between her hands and unfurled on the floor. It was a map of the country, the once bold lines outlining the edges of the nation were slightly dulled from what they once were.
The lines around the capital, however, were pristine.
Rose quickly grabbed the map off the floor, but hesitated a second before throwing it over the table. Then she did her best to smooth out the wrinkles in the haphazardly displayed map. Just as she finished, the now familiar, but still aggravating sound of wooden creaking filled the room.

Quinn entered first. Rowan's son. He paused for a second, surprised to see that Rose was already there. Quinn had actually come slightly early this time, hoping to be there before anyone else, like it was a sort of game.
One of his hands was resting on the edge of the door frame as it had been since he entered. His skin was clear, not as clean as those in the capital, but not scared or bloodied either. The worst he had was a couple faint cuts from some field work.
"Uhh…hi…"
He said, slightly dazed.
"Wait. Am I late?!"
Rose looked at him and smiled slightly,
"No. early actually."
Quinn crossed his eyes over the room, Rose was standing at the other end of the table. Her hands were placed on either side of her.
It looked as if she was waiting for them to arrive.
In a sense she was, though it wasn't as impressive as Quinn was imagining. The pieces had been nocked to the floor when Rose threw the map on the table.
Quinn didn't see that though, not at first atleast.
