"Four hundred and thirteen Gillian-level Menos Grande!"
"One Menos Grande suspected to be Adjuchas-level!"
"And these are probably just the advance forces. A larger group of hollows is likely to follow them to invade the real world…"
In the Seireitei, Soul Society, inside Team 1's headquarters, the staff of the Technology Development Bureau were sweating profusely as they reported the latest data displayed on the machine.
After speaking, they felt as though the sweat was soaking their backs, and a heavy pressure weighed down on their hearts.
While Shinigami and hollows have always been bitter enemies, there hasn't been a large-scale war in hundreds of years. Now, it seemed like the war might break out in the real world.
Except for Zaraki Kenpachi, the other captains—whether genuinely concerned or just pretending—showed solemn expressions.
"Captain, there's no time to hesitate. Let's go to Karakura Town and offer support!" Sui-Feng looked at Yamamoto, her eyes filled with urgency.
Despite Yamamoto's high level of mental resilience, he couldn't hide a slight twitch at the corner of his mouth. "No. You are the leader of the criminal army. It's not your time to make an appearance just yet."
Yamamoto's mind briefly wandered: If you went to the real world to meet Shihouin Yoruichi, could you come back and still be the captain of the Second Division? He sighed internally. "Good grief!"
Zaraki Kenpachi's eyes burned with excitement. He drew his soul-slaying sword and released his Reiatsu, exclaiming:
"I haven't had the chance to cut down an Adjuchas-level Menos Grande yet."
"No!" Yamamoto's tone was firm and serious. He looked at Zaraki Kenpachi with a stern gaze. "Kenpachi, your personality isn't suited for the real world."
Kenpachi's wild nature meant that, if he went to the real world, he'd probably destroy Karakura Town, regardless of whether he defeated the hollows or not.
"Captain, let me go. I won't let any enemy escape!" Kashiwamura Sajin, the captain of the Seventh Division, with his paper mask on and voice calm yet firm, insisted.
"No!" Yamamoto refused again.
With your righteous sense of justice, after defeating the hollows, your next target would undoubtedly be Urahara Kisuke and Hirako Shinji—and who knows how things would turn out for them! Not to mention the collateral damage you'd cause.
After rejecting both suggestions, Yamamoto, normally unshaken, felt a headache for the first time in a while. Why was it that everyone around him was either paranoid or a battle maniac?
Just as things were getting tense, Kyoraku Shunsui, who had been monitoring the machine, suddenly spoke:
"Something's wrong. One of the two Reiatsu spikes from earlier has actually reached the captain level."
Everyone turned their attention to the machine.
Sure enough, a flashing red light appeared on the screen.
"..."
"The Third Power... Susanoo!"
As Nanaya spoke these words, a flood of negative emotions surged into his eyes.
His scarlet gaze became even more intense.
A violent red Reiatsu erupted from him, rising into the sky with an incredibly evil aura.
A giant skeleton-like figure began to take shape from the Reiatsu: bones for arms, ribs, legs, and eventually a skull.
The figure of the giant skeleton continued to form.
"No way... can the power of those eyes really turn someone into this!?" Urahara Kisuke muttered in shock as he watched from a distance on the overpass, holding his folding fan.
Dozens of meters tall!? No, it was hundreds of meters!
It was like a red skeleton giant had been resurrected, and red Reiatsu continued to gather, transforming into "flesh and blood" to cover the skeleton.
The giant skeleton transformed into a war god.
Once the flesh had fully condensed, armor formed around the body, covering it entirely.
The figure was now holding a giant sword.
From a distance, Susanoo now truly looked like a martial god, standing in the sea of red Reiatsu, protecting the city behind it.
"Even after absorbing so much negative spiritual energy, he didn't lose control, and now he's awakened this terrifying power..." Urahara Kisuke marveled, his heart shaken. "Could it be that negative emotions are necessary for him to grow stronger?"
"This colossal martial god is almost comparable to Sajin Kashiwamura's Heavenly Punishment Myooh, or maybe even stronger…" he continued. "His Reiatsu has increased significantly, now reaching captain-level strength."
"..."
"Did Nanaya really do this?" Rukia Kuchiki rubbed her eyes in disbelief as she stared at the 100-meter-tall war god in front of her.
"Mr. Nanaya, where is he!?" Tessai from the Wo Ling department swallowed nervously as he scanned the massive red figure.
"He's at the top of its head!" Urahara Kisuke pointed.
Everyone looked up, and there, on the red crystal on Susanoo's forehead, they saw Nanaya.
"Is that Nanaya!?"
Kurosaki Ichigo pointed at Susanoo in disbelief.
From his vantage point, he could barely see the head of Susanoo, only the lower body, which left him even more shocked.
"Don't ask me, my head hurts a little right now…" Ishida Uryu's mouth twitched. If anyone had told him that the Quincy was the strongest human fighting force, he would have slapped them. "Are you blind? Can't you see this terrifying War God?"
Under the intense gaze of the crowd, Qiye focused his mind, and the red Susanoo moved. With a loud bang, it took a step forward, crushing the solid street beneath its feet.
The earth cracked, gravel flew into the air, and the ground shook violently as if it could no longer bear Susanoo's immense weight.
After taking several more steps, the Susanoo controlled by Qiye reached the bottom of the giant black crack.
At that moment, a Gillian fell from the crack. Qiye merely glanced at it indifferently and casually swung a blade, instantly cutting it down.
Afterward, Qiye turned his attention to the black crack in the sky and muttered:
"Consume some more spiritual power…"
To the astonishment of everyone watching, Susanoo began to change again.
A pair of red wings materialized behind her.
With wings now in place, Susanoo could fly. Holding the Susanoo sword in one hand, it took off, soaring directly toward the black crack.
"Swish!"
A red flash of light.
Susanoo swung her sword down, releasing a powerful shockwave that instantly sliced through the bodies of dozens of Menos Grande tangled around the crack. These Menos Grande never had the chance to scream, as they were sliced in half, their black spirits merging with Susanoo.
"Swish!"
"Swish!"
"Swish!"
The Susanoo sword continued to swing.
The Gillians blocking the crack were cut into pieces like vegetables.
A gap appeared in the crack.
Once inside the crack, Qiye gave a brief glance at the dark surroundings before his gaze focused again. He began slaughtering in all directions.
Chop! Chop! Slash! Sweep!
Each time Susanoo's sword swung, multiple Gillians fell, their black spirits consumed by Susanoo.
After taking down so many, even the mindless Gillians began to retreat in fear, roaring as they fled.
"Susanoo is still a bit slow... After all, it's not an ability designed for fighting in groups..." Qiye observed, watching the remaining Gillians around him. His Mangekyō Sharingan shifted, and he reignited the black eternal flames.
"Amaterasu!"
"Flame Control!"
The fire raged like a sea, engulfing the giant Gillians one after another. Even though the fire was small, it was enough to catch them.
But don't forget: the fire of Amaterasu will not go out until the enemy is burned to death. No matter where these Gillians ran, they would slowly burn to ash.
At this point, only three minutes had passed since Qiye entered the crack.
The once-crowded area was now empty, with only distant Arrancar Gillians remaining.
For this captain-level Arrancar Menos Grande, Qiye merely swung his sword and killed it in a single blow.
"Too weak… irrational waste!" Qiye sneered, staring coldly at the fallen Arrancar Menos Grande.
He couldn't help but think back to the Arrancar Menos Grande from the original story. He wondered how this particular Arrancar had come to be.
