Palais Mermonia.
Furina's face showed a trace of exhaustion.
A lot had happened today, and the weight of the truth was something only she truly understood.
The only good news was that everything was now within her control.
"Go back and get some rest," Lu Heng's voice came, warm yet firm. "Talk things over with Neuvillette tomorrow. Once everything's out in the open, everyone will support you."
Furina nodded. She had been thinking the same thing.
"Can I bring Neuvillette to see you tomorrow morning?" she asked.
"Of course."
Lu Heng smiled and nodded. "Go on, sleep early. No sleeping in tomorrow."
"Mhm!"
Furina grinned, waving at Lu Heng before skipping briskly into the Palais Mermonia.
Before Lu Heng could even leave, a window on the top floor opened, and she leaned out, waving at him again.
Lu Heng chuckled, watching as she finally closed the window and presumably headed to bed.
Back at the shop, Lu Heng reflected on the day's events. The feeling of altering fate was exhilarating.
He loved this sensation.
The despair of being powerless against destiny was something he never wanted to experience again.
Fortunately, he had the ability to rewrite everything—and now, he had also helped those who needed change the most.
"Today was a perfect day."
Closing up the shop, Lu Heng brewed himself a pot of tea.
His gaze fell on the system panel.
He had saved up quite a few draws.
"Time to test the limits of the exclusive card pool!"
With a serious expression, he reached out and tapped the 10,000-draw button.
Nothing happened.
Lu Heng remained unfazed.
Another 10,000-draw.
Still nothing.
For Lu Heng, using Tier 4 cards as if they were Tier 5 was normal.
But since the card pool contained Tier 5 and even Tier 6 cards, Tier 4 felt underwhelming.
He tapped again.
A flash of color!
Lu Heng's eyes widened in surprise.
Tier 4 was purple, Tier 5 was gold, and Tier 6 was red. Beyond that, cards had multicolored effects.
But now—a prismatic glow had appeared!
"Wait, isn't the highest tier in the standard exclusive pool supposed to be Tier 6?!"
Was this a bug?
In an instant, a familiar-looking card materialized in his hand.
[All-Purpose Shop Overlay Card]
[Tier]: None
[Type]: [External Use]
[Trait]: [Beneficial]
[Description]: Select a location to use this card, overlaying the area with an all-purpose card shop.
"Huh?"
This card truly had no tier.
Objectively, it was just a card that could set up a card shop—powerful in its own way, but not in terms of combat strength.
Yet it lacked a tier entirely!
"Well, fine."
Lu Heng stored the card away, already considering where to open a branch store.
"Mondstadt? Liyue? Inazuma? Sumeru? Or maybe Natlan or Snezhnaya?"
He pulled out a map of Teyvat, his eyes settling on Liyue.
The idea of opening a shop there grew stronger.
Liyue could serve as a hub, reaching Mondstadt, Inazuma, and Sumeru.
Plus, Lu Heng had to admit—while Liyue wasn't his homeland, its cultural essence and spirit felt comfortably familiar.
"Liyue it is."
Having decided, he turned his attention back to the card pool.
With a swift motion, he tapped several 1,000-draws to soothe his nerves.
The effect was questionable—nothing came out, further dampening his luck.
Another 10,000-draw.
A flash of red!
Lu Heng's spirits lifted.
A card with intricate crimson patterns appeared—not bloody, but exuding an air of regal sophistication.
Flipping it over, the artwork depicted celestial bodies in space.
Next to a planet floated an artificial construct—even larger than the planet itself.
A horizontal, elliptical behemoth.
As Lu Heng inspected it, the details sharpened—weapons bristled across its surface, aimed at some distant target.
A terrifying red beam seemed ready to fire, capable of annihilating entire star systems!
[Star System-Class Battleship—Yuguang-2]
[Tier]: 6 - Red
[Type]: [External Equipment]
[Trait]: [Standardized Weaponry]
[Description]:The Empire needs to revitalize its economy! Board it, aim its annihilation cannons at the enemy's star system, and—let's show them the meaning offreedom!
Lu Heng: "..."
This thing would be unstoppable in a sci-fi universe.
But in Teyvat?
Its sheer size might rival the continent itself.
After some thought, Lu Heng equipped it anyway.
Whether he used it or not was another matter—his Tier 9 equipment slot had infinite capacity. The more overpowered cards, the better!
"I've got a Tier 6 card, but it's practically unusable right now..."
Then—an idea struck him.
"Wait!"
Rumors said Teyvat was on the brink of destruction.
What if the cataclysm was inevitable?
With this card, why even fight?
Just evacuate everyone onto the battleship and embark on a grand cosmic journey!
"Hah! I was worried people might break Teyvat with their cards, but now..."
Lu Heng could finally say the ultimate flex:
"If all else fails—just blow up Teyvat!"
The thought alone made the world feel limitless.
Smiling, he tapped another draw.
Golden light shimmered.
[Future Computer]
[Tier]: 5 - Gold
[Type]: [Skill Card]
[Trait]: [Big Data Future Calculation]
[Description]:There are no gods or immortals in this world. If we want to know the future, what do we do?
"Even if a butterfly flaps its wings on the other side of the planet, or a mouse twitches its whiskers—we account for it all in our calculations."
"Thus, we created a computer that can predict the future. Every step we take is within its forecasts—so isn't that the same as knowing the future?"
Cyber Fortune-Telling at its finest!
Lu Heng understood its mechanics.
This wasn't mysticism—it was pure science.
It gathered big data—personalities, global events, even weather patterns—and calculated possible outcomes.
For example, if Lu Heng invited Furina to dinner, it would analyze:
Furina's personalityThe restaurant's conditionThe day's weather
Then, it would predict her reaction and subsequent actions.
The variables were immense, so it provided multiple possible outcomes.
But its true strength? It calculated in real-time!
Every second, it offered the optimal choice.
"Impressive."
Lu Heng equipped it.
Since it wasn't an external-use card, activating it worked like a skill card.
Thankfully, it wasn't an implant-type like a neural chip.
"Can I use it to predict my draws?"
He tried.
The card activated.
Nothing happened.
It spewed chaotic, nonsensical data.
Clearly, drawing cards was pure luck—no probabilities involved.
Unsurprised, Lu Heng swiftly tapped the remaining draws, finishing in one go.
Another gold card appeared.
[Jade Rock Civilization]
[Tier]: 5 - Gold
[Type]: [External Device]
[Trait]: [Civilization Core]
[Description]:War has begun again. They will destroy all technological achievements... Will we live like primitives in the future?
"No. We invented this!"
"Carry it with you—it will help us rebuild civilization after the war, allowing us to reclaim our technological glory."
Lu Heng examined it closely.
This was the essence of an entire technological civilization—a metal sphere the size of a ping-pong ball.
With raw materials, it could produce:
PhonesCarsGunsArtilleryRobotsTanksWarshipsAircraft
Basically, anything from modern technology.
The civilization that created it was about a century ahead of Lu Heng's original world, already expanding beyond their home planet.
And since it was born from war, its utility was maxed out!
No wonder it was Tier 5!
Given time, it could nurture an entire civilization!
Absolutely terrifying!
"But... I probably won't use it much."
If he really needed high-tech, Yuguang-2 had plenty.
A planet-sized battleship was bound to have warehouses full of goodies.
Besides, some tech just wouldn't fit Teyvat.
Producing high-end energy weapons would be slow and inefficient.
But simpler things—like phones—would be easy.
Dump a pile of junk into it, and it'd spit out a top-tier smartphone in seconds.
How?
Technology. No further explanation needed!
