Zoe's martial art was a bit different to Andrew's explosive close-combat style. It was more brutal, a technique that doesn't follow the traditional fist techniques as it is a raw and instinctive hand-to-hand combat style that mimics the movements of apex predators, enhancing her reactions and strength.
Hence the core techniques are Savage Pounce Strike, Beast Claw Rend, Feral Reflex Counter, Predator's Dominance, and Wild Hunt Blitz.
If Zoe mastered the breathing technique and her martial art called Primal Instinct Brawling, Eric prayed she would still recognize her identity as a human… not a hybrid.
Before, when he wrote the breathing techniques, it was Zoe's breathing technique that was unique. Now, it was Samantha's martial art that was quite unique to others.
Her martial art called Verdant Edge Duality is a stealthy and terrain-adaptive knife style that allows her to modify her body's biology and environment for an advantage.
The core techniques are Chameleon Step, Venom Fang Slice, Adaptive Reflex Weave, Spore Veil Cloak, and Fungal Root Blind… These core techniques, unlike others where their martial arts depended on their ability but it also worked the other way around for enhancement, worked more on the former.
Simply put, her martial art was more ability-based than others. Hence, Eric smiled helplessly as he wrote the fundamentals of the dual knives, despite most of them missing the core techniques of her martial art.
However, it also worked on her since she would become a capable assassin anyway. As Eric recalled on the Murim World, most of the assassins practiced and mastered venom manipulation, learning herbs and poisons, barely leaving them a chance to improve their external martial arts.
After all, what's the point of learning complex moves when you could kill the enemy just by wounding them with your weapon coated with poison?
Samantha was similar like them, but more stronger.
Finally, it was Michelle's turn. Thankfully, Eric was not a stranger to the slingshot, especially the Y-shaped variation. He recalled on Eric's memories that such slingshots were used to kill rats in their home.
In addition, Eric admired Michelle's idea to use it as a weapon. He might have to ask Jasper to work with her, creating beads of metal as her bullets.
Michelle's martial art is called Vector Sling Art. Eric based it on her abilities, so it is a highly mathematical projectile-based martial art that uses trajectory manipulation and predictive calculations for long-range precision attacks.
He didn't claim she would be a better sharpshooter for nothing. He would carry Michelle for that to happen… or he just did not want to be proven wrong.
Often, Eric wondered at this point how Michelle would differentiate herself from mathematicians, especially those aspiring mathematicians. He knew he would have his answers soon if he met one and helped them evolve to gain ability.
Eric was a sharpshooter once. After all, Yeobui encouraged him to master all the weapons, especially long-range ones such as long-bows. Hence, Eric wrote the fundamentals of being a sharpshooter based on his experience.
"You need a proper stance–square stance (Feet Shoulder-Width Apart), open stance (Front Foot Slightly Forward), and side stance (Like Archery). Next, you need to improve your grip hold. It should be firm but relaxed to avoid shaking. Then, you must improve your aiming and sight alignment. I suggest properly aligning front and rear sights, and then ensuring the target is properly positioned in the sights.
Of course your breathing control… I suggest mastering the breathing techniques and aiming coordination. With it, your martial art's efficiency will multiply many times…"
Eric believed that slingshots and archery was no different. Nevertheless, he tried to put his shoes on her, visualizing himself with the Y-shaped slingshot on his hand, firing against the horde of zombies.
Eric continued to give suggestions and the fundamentals of her martial art before writing the core techniques.
The core techniques are Parabolic Ricochet Shot, Zero-Point Release, Kinetic Chain Reaction, Momentum Theft Arc, Singularity Snipe.
Most of the names were inspired from what Eric learned in youtube and mathematics in the modern world course. Ixcahua even grinned, perceiving he had a breakthrough just by understanding some mathematical equations.
He shook his head in lament. "How unfortunate he did not choose engineering."
In fact, Eric passed the engineering entrance exam, albeit he chose bachelor of arts in literary and cultural studies since he wanted to become a writer. Unfortunately, he fell into depression, understanding how difficult it was to become a writer and most of his works published online were disregarded.
Hence, as a gamer at heart, he chose to become an addict to games just to escape from reality.
Eric shook his head and tossed the unnecessary thoughts at the back of his mind as he turned to the door, discerning Zoe's presence behind it.
He was about to call her when Zoe turned around and knocked. He heard Michelle's voice, saying slowly enough for Zoe that dinner was about to take place.
Eric said, "Enter."
Zoe opened the door without hesitation and was stunned to see the pile of notebooks on his left. When she saw the title on the white front page, it confirmed his suspicions that Eric was already finished writing the martial arts for them.
She glanced at the Emperor, who was staring at her in an ambiguous expression, hearing him saying, "Find yours here and distribute it to others. I'll follow you soon," and handed the notebooks to her.
Zoe hastily walked forward and received it. She stared at the Emperor in a daze before deciding in a split second to turn around and accomplish his task.
Eric glanced at her back, disappearing after the door closed and turned his head on the window.
He stood up, wanting to be basked on the moonlight and meditate before going downstairs.
As he sat, a blissful smile formed on his face. His breathing rhythm seemed to have made the oxygen disappear in the moonlight, revitalizing his body and mind.
At the same time, Eric entered a deep contemplation.
"I have finished writing them martial arts, breathing techniques, and obtained light red crystals today. Tonight, I'll evolve to the second mortal stage. Tomorrow… and the next day…"
Since Eric finished the task earlier than he thought, he finally decided.
"Tomorrow, I'll complete the mission and gather more manpower until the next day. I guess, I have to conquer another house or two to accommodate them."
Eric finally decided his next plans.
