Chapter 51 - Unconventional Martial Arts 2

After Eric put the finished notebook of Jasper to the other side. It was then he noticed there was actually a note in front of the second notebook. A note contained the names and their choice of weapon.

"Did they expect I would write to Jasper first, who has already decided on his weapon?"

The truth was, it slipped out of Zoe's mind. She wanted to return and informed the Emperor, but the latter did not ask her about it and she believed the Emperor would notice it. If he would not, then he would call for her. However, after an hour or two of tranquility coming from the room, despite waiting patiently, she heard nothing until the footsteps recently.

She wanted to enter and informed him, but she waited. Her heart raced and, in the end, she could not force herself to enter the room.

She could only wait for the others below to inform him about the dinner, so she had an excuse to disturb the Emperor.

The latter, meanwhile, was staring at the door as though his eyes could pierce right through, noticing the presence of Zoe. Eric shook his head and read the note.

His eyebrows arched up.

"Andrew chose the brass knuckles and Axel wanted knives? This is unusual."

He recalled Andrew was quite a coward and timid person, so he was a bit surprised he chose it. However, his choice was not bad and Eric admired him for it.

The girls, on the other hand, were not even surprising. Zoe, choosing brass knuckles too, or fists techniques, was within his expectations. Brass knuckles were a perfect weapon for her as it could act as claws.

Eric was not troubled by their choice of weapon. Earlier, when he was contemplating for an hour or two, he was analyzing the world and tried to connect it to the Murim world. Ruminating on Jasper was the last before he awakened, realizing he did not know the choice of weapon by others.

Even so, he had chosen to write Jasper's martial arts first, lest he would forget them… unlikely.

Now that he had a complete idea in his mind, receiving their choice of weapon was a trigger for him to write their martial arts.

He chose to write Andrew first and called his martial arts Thunderjaw Strikes. He personally liked it.

It was a brutal close-range boxing style that enhanced punches by charging them with electricity, using electrified strikes to overwhelm opponents.

Compared to Jasper, Andrew did not have knowledge about boxing, so Eric took his time to write the fundamentals of traditional boxing, before incorporating them to his ability, altering it to an unconventional martial art.

"To learn the complex, it is very important to know the basics." He wrote after putting the fundamentals of traditional boxing.

He spent more than five pages on it, including the drawing.

What he liked the most about the unconventional martial arts he wrote for Andrew was that it has a perfect affinity with the effects of his Title. It was due to Static Resilience, enabling his body to absorb more electric shocks and enhanced his ability.

As a result, compared to Jasper's martial arts, Andrew's Thunderjaw Strikes were overwhelming and destructive.

The core techniques were Lightning Snap Jab, Thunderclap Cross, Rolling Storm Hook, Surge Counter, and Voltage Barrage.

All of them could be executed on the third mortal stage, but their effects varied. After all, the stage determined the quality and the quantity of the energy inside the energy core.

Next was Axel's Gale Fang Bladework. As always, since he wanted dual knives techniques, he wrote the fundamentals of the traditional dual knives weapon techniques before incorporating his ability, leading to the unconventional martial art.

He wrote, "A fast, wind-based knife-fighting style that focuses on using air currents for agility, evasion, and cutting power. To evolve faster, feel the wind, feel their intention, increase your affinity with them. Don't forcibly use them, control them, or abuse them."

He wanted to remind Axel since he did not forget his first encounter with them. He did not want his personality to restrain him from evolving further.

The core techniques of the Gale Fang Bladework are Wind Shear Strikes, Cyclone Steps, Razor Gale Counter, Howling Fang Execution, and Phantom Current Dance.

Compared to Andrew's martial art, which focused on destructive close-combat style, Axel's martial art was more agility-based and mid-distance attack.

Eric then proceeded to Leonel martial art. When he learned his choice of weapon, he couldn't help but smile. He believed Leonel might have the best tailored martial art among them simply because Eric mastered the staff techniques more than any other techniques.

Hence, Eric did not hold back at all. He wrote the traditional staff technique, which most of them were altered and enhanced personally by him. Then, he closed his eyes and proceeded to write the unconventional martial art staff.

Leonel's martial art was fluid and adaptive, but similar to Axel, it used water manipulation to enhance range, defense, and control over momentum.

The core techniques are Ripple Strike, Tidal Guard, Surging Current Lunge, Wave Bind Counter, and Abyssal Flow Crash.

If Leonel mastered the unconventional martial art, Eric would not be surprised he would be stronger than others.

He mumbled. "It still all comes down to skills. Unfortunately, Leonel only has B grade potential."

Eric believed Leonel would be the first person to be left behind by others. For his potential to increase, he has to fully utilize the effects of his Title first, but since they were on the land, Leonel's potential would be held back more.

He recalled the system mentioning how tricky to evolve the Title, so, aside from assuming it could be evolved by utilizing the effects, Eric also thought of evolving it through evolution to higher stages.

After all, if their Potential corresponds to their Title, it should not include their potential to evolve on the higher stage, right?

He shook his head, tossed the unnecessary thoughts at the back of his mind and continued to write the others' martial arts.
