NO POV
The hell palace suddenly took a different dimension and the hanging buildings began to collapse, falling on the ghouls. The loud screams coming from every corner of the palace, was deafening, and powerful enough to cause the ground to quake.
Maki stood up with his eyes widened, looking at the chaos in hell. It wasn't usual, it shouldn't be. The last time he had seen chaos like that was when they were locked up. They had lost Cyril and their real world experienced a great quake and in the process, many ghouls died.
The throne which he stood up from shattered into pieces and the ground divided. He quickly appeared on the other side for safety. Beneath the divided ground was a raging pit of flowing lava.
"No!" Maki screamed, seeing the world of the ghouls collapsing again. Suddenly, red flames appeared from the ground and surrounded him, burning with fury, and the heat reached his skin, causing him to shrill out in agony.
The red flames burned for a minute before it dispersed and Maki saw the caged it had formed. The caged he was in. He had been locked up.
He growled and tried to touch the cage but it burnt him.
"Lord Maki, what is going on?" Eight asked, rushing towards him. She looked around and was in total shock seeing the destruction that had happened.
"Did you kill him?!" He grunted, nursing his pain.
"I did. I struck him right in his heart. There is no way he would have survived," she answered and held the bars which surprisingly, didn't burn her. "What the heck is happening? Why are you locked up?"
"I don't know why this is happening, but all I can point to is him still alive. He is not dead," he answered and growled loudly when his wounds began to close up painfully. "You have to kill him or we will lose our world completely. We will not be able to bring back out true king if he is not dead!" He roared and she nodded.
She bowed her head and ran out of the palace with one mission in mind, 'Kill Reggie!'
…
Eight reappeared at the forest where she had killed Reggie, but he wasn't there. She looked around but didn't find him.
She growled in frustration and hit the tree behind her, bringing it down instantly. "Damn it!" She cursed. "Where the fuck are you, Reggie Scott?" She screamed and stomped her feet like a a child throwing a tantrum after being denied a candy, but hers, caused the ground to quake and created a deep pit beneath her feet.
She hanged on the air instead of going down with the earth.
"I will find you, Reggie. I will kill you and bring everything back to normal. I will release lord Maki from his cage!" She vowed and vanished.
Five minutes after she vanished, an invisible veil was torn opened, revealing the covered world behind which Eight had missed. Reggie was there all along, but a veil was made to deceive Eight into believing he wasn't.
A lady covered with a red robe which had a hoodie covering her hair, and a red transparent veil covering her face, recited a spell silently, facing the path Eight had vanished from and when she was done, she faced Reggie and knelt down beside him.
She shut her eyes and began to chant another silent spell and in no time, a bright light covered his body. She continued chanting the spell until blood flowed out of her nose but she didn't stop.
Heavy wind began to blow around them, blowing everything in their path and the sky above their heads got darkened immediately. She became faster in chanting her spells but the more she did, the more danger was drawing closer. She knew what she was doing was dangerous and would definitely cause chaos, but she wasn't bothered about it.
"Oh ancient mothers, bestow your power on me! Bring him back to life!" She yelled, and different voices filled her ears, the wind became heavier and blood spurted out of her mouth. "Please!" She cried.
"This is dangerous," she heard one voice among the million of voices and she knew to listen to that voice alone. "The ancient witches are mad at you," the voice said again.
"I don't care," she replied. "Give me the power to bring him back!"
"You know his destiny," the voice said again. "He is a danger to this world. Sorry, but we can't help you."
The young veiled lady suddenly stood up and spread her arms wide opened. "Then, I will do it myself. I don't need your help," she said and shut all the voices in her head. With her eyes closed, she yelled, "Mother nature, reverse every calamity that had befallen him. Give me the power and strength I need now!"
Her eyes turned pitch black and her robe immediately changed to black. Her auburn hair changed grey and her hands wrinkled instantly.
She pointed her palm towards Reggie and the bright glow around him intensified. The sword got pulled away by a force and the hole it had created in his chest got covered up.
He was back to normal. The wind stopped, the dark cloud covering the sky dispersed , bringing everything back to normal.
The now grey-haired lady fell on her knees, weak and exhausted. She managed to crawl closer to him and leaned close to his face. "You owe me one, Reggie Scott," she muttered and gave him a light kiss on his lips before she vanished, leaving him behind.
The crushing sound of dried leaves announced the presence of a new intruder. Dianne jumped out to the open space with a low groan escaping her lips. She had fought her way through the piercing thorns, and that was part of the reason she hated going into bushes during the dried seasons.
She looked forward and saw Reggie lying unconscious. She gasped and ran to him. "Reggie," she called and fell on her knees beside him. He had no wounds but had dried blood on his clothes. She quickly checked his pulse and her heart skipped a beat.
"Oh no," she muttered and quickly brought out her phone. She dialed a number and after the second ring, the receiver answered. "Hurry to the forgotten forest. This is an emergency!" She ordered.
