Chapter 28 - The Aristocratic Clans

"Tsk-tsk-tsk." Julius shook his head sideways, as though he was a wise old sage that just came out of seclusion. "I often heard that Impeachment was scary and always done with wisdom… However, reality sure is disappointing. Is this all?"

"YOU—you better watch your tongue, 6th Prince." Minister Bhu, a haughty man with a long goatee, was quick to lash out. "6th Prince, are you saying we, the ministers, civil servants and his Majesty, don't have any wisdom since we called this impeachment?"

What a big accusation!

"Minister Bhu, are you trying to say I'm wrong?... Please! I believe you know me to be a very smart person. So if I were wrong, wouldn't I know it? That said, if what I meant was what you're suggesting, won't I just say it out plainly?"

"_" [Minister Bhu]:

Erm… Excuse him, but since when has he ever accepted Julius to be a smart person? How come he, the person involved, has no recollection of this matter?

Seeing the stumped Minister Bhu, Julius inwardly sneered but kept his face haughty.

"Alas…" Julius shook his head, shooting a pitiful gaze at Minister Bhu. "Old man Bhu, since you're so old and ancient that you can't even understand my words, then I, in my youthful exuberance, have no choice but to chew these words and spit them out to you, like a mother does for her baby."

"Old Man Bhu," Julius continued. "I'm telling it to your face, that I believe it wasn't His Majesty who called for this meeting, but you all…. So don't put such accusations on me next time. Afterall, such a childish impeachment plan can not be done by my father, his Majesty! Well… to be honest, even a 3-year old can do better than this, no?"

Pfft~

Clayton, Minister Hoggard, Gin and a few others, couldn't help placing their hands over their mouths to stifle their laughter.

Oh my God, the 6th prince was just too funny and cruel. Since when did the 6th Prince become so articulate?

"Why you–" Minister Bhu's face turned so red it looked like steam was coming off his ears.

"Am I wrong? Even a dog would know how to use common sense without causing a scene… But oops… I forgot that common sense is not that common after all!!1"

Excellent words 6th prince!

Hoggard and several other ministers felt his words were like poetry. What a good saying. They should write this down.

{ Common sense isn't common….}

They've never heard such words of wisdom before.

Bahahahahahahah~

Clayton wrapped his burly hands around his belly, laughing so hard and loud that it made the opposing ministers turn colder and colder by the second.

Altec and Steward Hayden also chuckled, but did not make it so obvious.

Hey… if this boy had been so articulate back then, would things have gotten to the point that he gets kicked out of the palace?

What Altec didn't know was that the system required Julius to get kicked out, before it could officially launch and activate itself. So of course he humbled himself, allowing the many evil schemes against him to prevail.

Minister Walfen Ortiz hidden in the back, now slowly emerged, in a calm manner.

Julius raised his left brow playfully. 'Oh? It seems that one of the final bosses has revealed himself.'

The Ortiz Clan was one of the powerful ancient clans in the kingdom, whose strength could almost go toe-to-toe with the imperial family.

In total, there were 3 other Aristocratic clans that also made Altec uncomfortable:

—The Ortiz Clan,

—The Trigun Clan,

—& the Mazda Clan

It's true that the kingdom was now at peace. However, don't let this surface calmness fool you. These clans felt they were superior to the Imperial family, and in truth, had their hands stretched out in far too many places within the kingdom.

Many times, they forced Altec's hands, sometimes requesting 'simple' suggestions that had underlying threats in them.

And wouldn't you know it, 3rd Prince Carter, was the son of 4th Concubine Rita Ortiz. This meant that Minister Walfen Ortiz was Carter's maternal Grandfather.

As for the Trigun Clan, 5th Prince Raymond, was the son of 3rd Concubine Shu Trigun.

When Altec was younger, he wedded these 2 concubines due to the pressure from these noble clans.

These noble clans were thorns in his flesh, the kind he found he and many royals before him, couldn't rid themselves of. If they wanted, these Clans could join forces and completely eradicate the royal household, which was quite stiffening to him.

As for the final ancient clan, they were the Mazda Clan. They were a crude bunch who were even more brutal than the other clans, with their way of handling things.

Fortunately, during the time he was of malleable age, the Mazda's had no eligible daughters to marry off.

It was fortunate that since that time, no girl has been born in the Mazda household, until a year ago.

With this, Altec had dodged a bullet, marrying 2 wives from 2 ancient clans rather than 3.

Minister Walfen Ortiz, slowly looked at Julius in silent scrutiny. "6th Prince, whether this impeachment is necessary or not, is not for you to decide."

His voice carried an unquestionable aura that made some people choke on their laughter.

"Alright," Julius nodded. "Since you want a straight answer, I'll give you one."

"First, you said I caused chaos by creating evil dishes. But this accusation, to me, seems vague. What exactly is evil about my dishes?"

"This–"

Several people paused and scratched their heads, but Minister Walfen was quick to answer. "6th Prince, because of your dishes, the rate of crime has gone up significantly."

Walfen paused, massaging his beard with a calm demeanor. "Prince Julius, to put it simply, your dishes have made even common people lose their sense of sanity."

Well said! As expected of Minister Walfen from the noble Ortiz family. They felt Julius would have no way to make a comeback. But who was Julius?

Many smiled victoriously, not knowing that in just a few minutes, they would be crying with no tears.

Looking at the confident group, Julius tilted his head cutely. "Father, this son of yours will accept any punishment given to him… But first, if we are to use this logic, then this son of yours would also like to impeach Minister Walfen, Minister Bhu, and 27 other ministers too!"

And then, before anyone could react, Julius pulled out several booklets from underneath his sleeves, allowing them to drop to the ground like chess pieces.

Want to impeach him? HAH!

You all are a million years too young!!!
