Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Bukujutsu

During her training, Uchiha Hikari naturally made use of her Sharingan.

—Mainly for its dynamic vision and ability to mimic movements.

She also employed Kage Bunshin.

At first, Karin-sama thought she was pulling some clever trick like the "Four Body Fist" and wasn't thrilled. But after Hikari earnestly explained how Kage Bunshin worked—especially the part about experience transferring back to the original upon dispelling—Karin-sama didn't say much more. He just quietly cranked up the training intensity.

In the original story, it took Kame-Sennin three years to snatch the Chou Seisui, while Goku managed it in three days.

That didn't mean their talents differed by hundreds of times.

Karin-sama's combat power far outstripped theirs at that point, and he could use Bukujutsu. The length of the training was entirely up to his whims. If he really wanted to block someone, they'd have no shot at the Seisui until their power neared his level.

Hikari didn't mind.

She was here, so she might as well learn as much as she could.

Staying on the tower for so long brought up a big issue: food.

On the first day, Karin-sama casually tossed her a bag of Senzu to stave off hunger.

But Hikari carefully stashed the Senzu away. Instead, she pulled out a couple of Capsules she'd gotten from Bulma, setting up a stove, pots, and pans in a corner of the tower's top. She cooked breakfast and dinner daily, sharing some with Karin-sama.

The ingredients were pre-bought, stored in the vacuum-sealed Capsules, so spoilage wasn't a concern.

She also set up a small, ten-square-meter house for bathing and sleeping.

Finally…

On the last day of the seventh week, Hikari successfully nabbed the Chou Seisui.

And she noticed something else—her chakra felt… different.

It was like…

Something else had mixed into it, making it tougher, more flexible?

"It's not quite what I expected, but you've likely mastered ki," Karin-sama said out of the blue after dinner that evening.

"Really?" Hikari wasn't entirely convinced. "So, can I use Kamehameha or Bukujutsu now?"

Karin-sama licked his paw. "I don't know much about Kamehameha. But Bukujutsu? Give it a try."

Bukujutsu wasn't all that complicated in principle.

Simply put, it was like a helicopter: you expelled ki downward from your feet to lift your body, then adjusted the ki's direction to move freely. The hard part was controlling the ki, which shared some similarities with the ninja world's water-walking training.

Hikari tried dozens of times.

Just when she started doubting whether she'd ever get it, a strange sensation clicked. In the next moment, her body lifted slightly, hovering in midair.

"?!"

The instant her focus wavered, she dropped back down.

But her eyes sparkled with excitement.

It actually worked?!

Karin-sama, observing from the side, nodded. "Looks like you've grasped the basics. Now, just remember that feeling and practice until it's second nature."

"Hm…"

Hikari took a moment to sense the energy in her body, her expression turning a bit odd.

She was certain she'd used Bukujutsu's principle—not Iwa's Choukeijugan no Jutsu, which altered body weight to "fly." But this method of chakra manipulation shouldn't be possible under the Naruto world's rules. Even Namikaze Minato had never seen anything like it—excluding the Otsutsuki clan, of course.

So…

What the heck had she cultivated in her body?

A mutant chakra? Or some kind of chakra-ki hybrid?

Hikari thought about it for a second, then shrugged it off.

Didn't matter.

Whatever this energy was, it was hers. She just needed to master it.

"Well… guess it's about time to take a break."

Karin-sama still had plenty of tricks she hadn't learned—like his ability to sense ki or that mind-reading skill, if he could even teach it.

But Hikari had been on the tower for a while, training at high intensity. Her body's injuries healed quickly, but mental fatigue was harder to shake. She needed to balance work and rest to avoid burning out.

Before leaving, Hikari tried asking Karin-sama for a Kintoun.

Yeah… no go.

As a "weapon" born for battle, with plenty of blood on her hands, she was far from the "pure of heart" needed to ride one.

Oh well. Instead, she scored a big bag of Senzu, gifted Karin-sama her cooking gear and several crates of uneaten fish, and promised to return for more training someday. Then, she bid him farewell.

During this time, the chat group had been buzzing.

After returning from Pilaf's castle, Bulma recounted their journey in the group.

Namikaze Minato and Tanjiro were both intrigued.

Minato was less surprised—after all, the Naruto world had the Gokuraku no Hako, a tool left by the Sage of the Six Paths that could supposedly grant wishes, though its methods were… questionable.

But in Tanjiro's Demon Slayer world, supernatural stuff was rare, so he found it mind-blowing.

[IronHead: Miss Bulma, can those Dragon Balls really grant any wish? Even reviving the dead or turning a human-turned-monster back to normal?]

[Bulma: Uh… I think so?]

[Bulma: Wait, Tanjiro, is there someone you want to revive?]

[IronHead: Yeah… I want to turn Nezuko back into a human!]

[Bulma: ?]

[EternalSidekick: I recall Miss Hikari mentioning that Tanjiro's world has these creatures called 'demons,' humans transformed by some kind of blood-transmitted curse. I'm guessing Tanjiro's sister was attacked by one and turned into a demon, right?]

[IronHead: Exactly. That's why I joined the Demon Slayer Corps…]

[Nameless: If it's just about turning your sister back, you don't need to wish on Shenron. In your world, there's already a doctor researching this. She should have a cure ready soon… Oh, you probably haven't met Miss Tamayo yet, have you? As for reviving others, only those who died within the last year can be brought back.]
