"Shut up!"
Mr. Shang suddenly got angry, his murky eyes turning cold and stern.
Shang Jue's aunt was scared into silence. She looked at Mrs. Shang unwillingly, then gave Qin Cha a fierce glare, like she was blaming her for all the trouble.
"Don't get too worked up, sir. You just recovered. Let me help you back to your room to rest," Mrs. Shang said calmly, trying to get rid of Qin Cha's support.
Mr. Shang wasn't a fool. He understood Mrs. Shang's intention and pushed her hand away.
"No need. I'm not that useless yet!"
With that sentence, Mr. Shang made it clear he was on Qin Cha's side.
"What are you still doing here? Is the Shang house a place for you to come and go as you please? Get out!" Mrs. Shang looked at Qin Cha, ready to kick her out.
"Did I allow you to speak? Xiao Cha is a guest I invited. Who dares to drive her away?!"
Maybe Mr. Shang was too angry, he started coughing violently, looking really uncomfortable.
Qin Cha helped him sit down and asked, "Mr. Shang, are you feeling unwell?"
Seeing Mr. Shang coughing nonstop, Qin Cha went to the kitchen and brought him a cup of warm water, handing it to him.
"Drink some water first."
Mr. Shang took a sip and slowly stopped coughing. He felt relieved. In his heart, Qin Cha was the most filial and obedient child.
"Ha, so enthusiastic. You just want the old man to take you back into the business, really scheming." Auntie Shang Jue sneered at Qin Cha.
Qin Cha kept a faint smile on her lips and let her gaze fall on Auntie Shang Jue.
She had suffered a lot from Auntie Shang Jue and Mrs. Shang before. Back then, she was foolish and endured it all for Shang Jue. In the end, she gave her heart to a dog for nothing and suffered badly for it.
But now, things were different. She wouldn't let anyone walk over her again.
Qin Cha rolled up her dirty sleeves and shot back, "My hands and feet are my own. What does it have to do with you what I do? Don't talk nonsense here. I don't need you to judge me. Who do you think you are?"
Except for Shang Jue and Assistant Li, everyone was startled by Qin Cha's sudden toughness and aggressive words.
Auntie Shang Jue never expected Qin Cha to dare to fight back. She opened her mouth wide, completely shocked, unable to come up with a single response.
Clearly, this dead girl didn't dare say a word before, no matter how much she got scolded. She even used to nod and bow politely.
Had she changed?
In the end, the more experienced Mrs. Shang reacted. Her eyes flashed with a hint of shock, but it was gone in an instant.
She looked proud and disdainful, like she completely looked down on Qin Cha.
"Indeed, you have no manners and dare to talk to your elders like this! Let me make it clear, since you've already agreed to divorce, no matter how enthusiastic you act, Shang Jue will not want you again."
Qin Cha sneered. She had long been unable to stand Mrs. Shang's fake, hypocritical face. Even if she tore her face off in public, she wasn't scared anymore.
"Grandma Shang might not have heard it clearly because of your age. It's me who wants a divorce. I don't want Shang Jue, so don't get it twisted! And as for whether Shang Jue wants me again, you should really figure out who's been pestering me nonstop. Let me say it clearly: even if your grandson comes and begs me, I'll never remarry him."
Shang Jue's expression turned cold, and his eyes locked onto her with a dark intensity.
"You!"
The arrogant Mrs. Shang, who always acted like she was better than everyone else, had just been talked back to by someone younger, a girl she always looked down on.
She couldn't handle the humiliation.
"Humph! You're just a lowly country girl with no manners. You couldn't keep up your little act for three years and finally showed your true colors! You're an uncultured brat!"
When she couldn't win the argument, she started throwing personal insults.
But Qin Cha had already seen through all of Mrs. Shang's tired old tricks. She used to be trapped under all that PUA garbage.
Did Mrs. Shang really think she was still that same weak pushover from three years ago?
What a joke.
"How noble do you really think you are? People with filthy hearts, no matter how rich or powerful, are still disgusting. Seems like Mrs. Shang fits that perfectly. If I remember right, your family used to be farmers too, didn't they? So why do you act like you're better than the countryside? Aren't you just insulting yourself?"
Qin Cha's sarcasm hit hard, she wasn't holding back at all.
And with that smiling face and stubborn attitude, she just looked like someone begging to be slapped.
Mrs. Shang was completely shut down.
She glared at Qin Cha like she wanted to tear her apart. But that only made Qin Cha feel even more satisfied.
Today, she was finally taking revenge for those three years of silent suffering.
"Since everything's out in the open now, I already signed the divorce agreement. The Shang family's money means nothing to me. I'm not going to pretend to be all high and mighty. Honestly, if I didn't know any better, I'd think the Shang family had an emperor's throne to inherit."
After she finished talking, Qin Cha stood up and got ready to leave.
Mr. Shang knew Qin Cha had been hurt too much. He couldn't bear to lose such a good daughter-in-law. He blamed his own grandson for being blind and stupid.
"Xiao Cha."
Qin Cha looked at Mr. Shang with an apologetic smile and said sincerely, "Grandpa, I'm really sorry, but I've already made up my mind about the divorce. It's not because I'm angry. I just hope you can understand and support me."
Qin Cha was honestly grateful to Mr. Shang. She thought of him as family. But she wasn't going to give up her life for anyone anymore.
She'd been stepped on for way too long. From now on, no one would control her again.
"Ah, I know you're a good kid, and there's no rush for the divorce. I won't pressure you. But wait a little, okay? Let me talk to Shang Jue about something."
Shang Lao gave a small smile of relief.
Then his eyes turned sharp, and his voice got serious as he turned to his grandson. "You, come upstairs with me!"
In the study, Shang Lao didn't waste any time.
He gave a command that left no room for argument. "You must win Qin Cha back. If you can't, then you're not my grandson!"
Shang Jue's face stayed calm.
He honestly didn't get it. Why was his grandfather so obsessed with Qin Cha?
What did she have that made her so special?
She had nothing. All she could do was talk tough.
"Grandfather, you can't force feelings."
Besides, he didn't even marry Qin Cha because he liked her.
Shang Jue's voice was cold. In his eyes, their marriage was just a deal. Nothing more. He had no plans for a divorce.
If Qin Cha could behave herself, she could keep living her life like before. But if she kept acting out, then he definitely wouldn't tolerate it anymore.
