Alan browsed through the tier 1 limit break dungeons.
The limit break dungeons are the name given to dungeons which dropped the attribute stones.
The tier 1 limit break dungeons had level 20 tier 2 monsters. Although there are no bosses, each one of them is as strong as a tier boss monster. So only a team of 10 or more dared to attempt these dungeons.
Each dungeon had around 40-50 monsters which dropped 5 stones each. Which meant each complete run gave out 200 to 250 stones.
But for Alan such dungeons will be like a walk in the park. There were only 2 limit break dungeons in the tower as such dungeons were rare in number.
He applied for raiding the dungeon on the interface and set off.
...…..
In the wilderness two days prior. Somewhere around north east huaxia.
A man and a youth around 16 years old stood there looking at the greyish black portal which spewed out black lightning now and then.
"Is this what you've dragged these old bones here for? Interesting…" said the man.
"What do you think?" asked the youth.
"Whatever's in there better be worth all the mess we went through"
"Don't worry about that. It will be worth it"
The youth was none other than Arun who disappeared after the class change. As for the man, he was his grandpa Ajey. Although he was old, he looked like someone in their middle age.
Arun had somehow convinced his grandpa to accompany him to an incredible opportunity. His grandpa was sceptical at first but after his beloved grandson's relentless persuasion he caved in.
"Alright let's go in…" Arun's grandpa said as he dived in without a second thought.
Arun followed him in.
"So what are we really looking for here again?" asked Ajey
"The chaos-shadow essence stone. It should look like a rock and for the specifics you would know when you see it." Arun said.
"I'm more interested in the shadow fiend boss than whatever stone you are looking for" said Ajey.
Soon they encountered the monsters of this Dungeon. They were called the dusk wraiths.
They were ethereal, winged spectres with cloaks of void-black mists. They were born from the darkness and were the minions under the shadow fiend boss.
Ajey, as a magic swordsman specialised in light element law, was a perfect counter for them. He liked these types of dungeons.
With one slash his sword cleaved through the minion. As a tier 4 monster it dropped quite noteworthy things. But the thing Arun was searching for was not amongst them.
As the dungeon was a medium scale special type dungeon, its inner area was large. Such a dungeon will usually take a week or two to clear.
But this wasn't a problem for Arun as he navigated through the dungeon as he had travelled through here many times.
After a day of perilous killing and navigation they arrived in front of the Nightmare castle.
It was the core region of the dungeon where the boss resided. This is also the place which held the thing Arun was looking for according to his memories.
"Let's go…" said Ajey.
They walked towards the castle killing whatever that stood in their way. Ajey being a peak tier 4 existence half a step into the 5th tier killing the mid–high rank minions was like a walk in the park.
Even when he faced the peak tier 4 minions inside, he had no trouble thanks to his peak equipment and skills.
The only thing that troubled them was the boss.
The boss was a towering humanoid monster with a body of writhing mass of shadows, occasionally revealing its skeletal fragments or the crimson veins pulsating under it.
Ajey was excited and his fighting spirit started to light up seeing the majesty of the boss.
One of the reasons that Ajey agreed to help Arun was because it was a dark elemental dungeon at 4th tier. He was at the cusp of converting his light element into a complete law but his every attempt ended up in failure.
When Arun told him about the dungeon he decided to give it a go and try to derive inspiration from the darkness element which was considered the opposite of the light element.
Ajey unsheathed his great sword and lunged towards the boss, while Arun who was a bystander this whole time started sneaking around looking for a hidden passage in the boss room.
Arun, not able to find the passage, decided to take cover and continue to observe the battle.
Ajey skillfully evaded the boss's advances and landed light element infused strikes now and then. As the battle progressed he felt the bottleneck that shackled his advance began to unwind.
At that moment he started to remember an old saying which said 'light and darkness were two sides of the same coin'. He couldn't agree more.
With 3 and half hours of grinding he finally took down the boss. He then sat down and gulped down the recovery potions.
"Hey kiddo… have you found what you were looking for?"
"No… I still haven't found the passage in the perimeter. Maybe it is near your combat zone…"
"Alright then… I don't know how you know all this. But as long as it can help you it's okay." Ajey said as he stood up getting ready to search.
They searched the area and found the passage trigger behind the resting place of the boss. Arun opened the passage and a mysterious hole appeared on the ground with stairs that led into darkness.
Arun, being excited, was about to run in when Ajey stopped him, warning him about the possible traps on the path.
Arun calmed down and decided to follow his grandpa's arrangements.
They walked down the path to end up in a cave full of stalactites made up of mysterious minerals. Luckily there were no traps along the way.
"I don't know about the stone you are searching for but these are really precious." Said Ajey as he observed the stalactites.
"Found it…" Arun soon found what he was searching for.
A black stone with two mysterious runes engraved onto its surface.
"Let's get out of here…" said Arun as he grabbed the stone. Without wasting the time they got out of the dungeon.
"Wait a minute…" said Ajey as he took out the tier 4 medium scale dungeon relocation token.
"Wait… we are taking the dungeon with us?" Asked Arun.
"Of course. Do you want the resources in there to go to waste?"
After finishing the process they used a return token to go back to the nearest city.
After arriving back at their home Ajey asked "now what? What are you going to do with the stone?"
"Just watch. Whatever happens don't disrupt the process okay?..."
Arun sat down cross legged as he swallowed the stone.
Ajey was dumbfounded as to what his grandson was doing…
