Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Maxed out attributes.

Arun swallowed the stone in front of his grandfather's dumbfounded gazes.

"Hey kid, do you even know what you are doing?!…." Ajey was shocked seeing Arun's actions. He wondered what he was upto.

But soon he found his answer. Arun's body started to heat up and numerous golden shining runes appeared on the surface of his body. He felt as if his body was being split apart.

Ajey wanted to step in but he remembered Arun's words so he could only grit his teeth and watch.

After a few hours Arun felt as if the pain was receding away but he fell unconscious right after.

The runes that had appeared on the surface of his body receded back inside him.

Ajey sighed and picked him up, taking him back to his room to rest. He decided to wait till he woke up to ask him questions.

Time passed… After 10 hours Arun woke up. His body felt very sore after all that drama.

"So what was all that about?..." His grandpa asked as soon as he entered the room.

"Well… it's like this." Arun started to explain.

The stone they obtained in the dungeon was called the chaos-shadow essence stone. It was one of the gifts bestowed by the world to humanity.

It raised one's affinity in a particular element and a secondary element to the highest possible level. For Arun it was the ultimate tier chaos element and the supreme tier shadow element which was the extreme version of the darkness element.

"So you're saying that stone just now granted you a 10 star ultimate and a supreme celestial element affinity?" Ajey was surprised by this revelation.

"Umm… actually it is a 9 star ultimate and a 10 star supreme elemental affinity. The limit of the ultimate tier celestial element for a normal creature is only 9 stars. Only those elemental creatures that are born inside the elemental essence of that ultimate tier element have 10 star affinity."

"So that's how it is huh… just so you know the world is already in shock about the discovery of an ultimate tier element. Now that a second one appears, imagine the shock it would spread."

"Has it been discovered already?..."

"You know something about it" Ajey raised his eyebrows

"I don't know. I am not sure…" Arun sighed. 'It should be Alan. If I remember correctly he should have gotten the time-space essence stone.' thought Arun.

"Alright kid. I know you are hiding many secrets but I don't care about any of that. Just tell me, is there any stone that could raise my light element affinity?"

"Umm… as far as I know there should be 10 such stones currently on Gaia. Time-space stone should have been found long ago, chaos-shadow stone have been found by me, those were the only ultimate-supreme essence stones. The rest should be supreme-supreme, supreme-upper, and upper-upper tier essence stones."

"I don't care about their rank, just tell me if there is one for the light element or not." Ajey asked with an expectant gaze.

"There is… but" Arun hesitated.

"Where is it?..."

"Alps… as for its precise location, I don't know that. It should be a light-lightning essence stone and should be inside a special dungeon like this one. But there are many mutated and enhanced monsters in that mountain range due to the presence of a large mana stone vein."

"So it's in Europe huh… presence of mana stone vein may complicate things a bit."

"Things are not that easy. It had helped a few monsters step into tier 5. So finding the right dungeon on that mountain range should be a challenge. Gramps I suggest you wait until you have successfully stepped into tier 5 otherwise…"

"Otherwise what. What have you thought about me? Do you think I don't have any influence and any connections? Let me enlighten you that two of the three tier 5 individuals in Asia are my buddies and they owe me from back then."

It was Arun's first time hearing about it. He wasn't aware that his grandpa had such shocking connections.

"You don't have to worry about me. I will have them accompany me there. Furthermore the presence of the mana stone vein is enticing enough for them to take a stroll there. So stop worrying about me and go eat something you should be famished with after skipping lunch."

It was then a massive hunger hit him. He was so excited about his new affinities that he had forgotten about everything else.

"hehe…" Arun giggled as his grandpa piggybacked him till the dining room.

"What are your plans after this? I can pull some strings and let you into any one of the top guilds."

"No need for that. I will stay on my own for now. I know some good spots to upgrade my levels and comprehension. So I will stick to that."

"Alright then. I shall go make arrangements for my trip." Ajey got up to make some calls.

....

Back at the Titans guild Alan gazed at his panel satisfied. After a full day of grinding he had finally managed to max out all his attributes.

So all that is left now is the tier transition test. It was then he got a notification. It was about a new large-scale dungeon the guild found not too long ago. Those who have reached tier 2 or above can participate in the guild expedition. He had one day before it began so he could apply after he had completed his tier transition mission.

"Haha. This came at good timing. I should be able to test my limits there." Alan was happy with this news.

But for now he decided to rest as he was tired after a long day of grinding.
