Chapter 12 - 12. Taking someone else's property.

Paradise Boutique was the name of the place recommended by Elena during a conversation with Chelsea while changing clothes in the dressing room at the shooting range the other day.

This boutique required reservations to visit, and Elena had made a reservation the night before, so Chelsea just needed to show up and try on whatever she wanted. A head staff member had warmly and friendly welcomed Chelsea's visit.

As a regular customer of this boutique, Elena had discovered that her daughter-in-law, who had once caused a stir at the wedding reception, was about to visit the boutique.

The staff became more enthusiastic since morning, thinking that if they could impress Chelsea and make her a regular customer, they would indirectly receive more benefits and increase the boutique's popularity among the upper class.

"Ma'am, we have some exclusive options that might suit your taste. Would you like us to show you some collections?" A staff member in formal attire came to serve Chelsea personally, with her hair neatly rolled up.

"Yes, show me," Chelsea replied, sitting cross-legged on a single sofa, alone in a separate room, but the conversation of others in the room across from her was audible.

"Do you have any specific preferences or are you looking for something more specific?" the staff member asked again as politely as possible.

"How about summer dresses? Spring will be ending soon, and it would be lovely to spend time relaxing outdoors when summer arrives."

"Of course, we have what you're looking for. Please wait a moment," the staff member said before stepping aside briefly.

She then returned with two other staff members, pushing a trolley filled with neatly hung summer collections. The other two staff members stepped aside, leaving the first staff member to continue serving Chelsea with a smile on her face.

She began to show Chelsea their summer collections. "Ma'am, our 'Pastel Paradise' collection gives off a soft and sweet impression. It would suit your fair skin perfectly. Or would you like to try our 'Summer Breeze' collection, which is very casual and light, perfect for the summer temperature?" She showed Chelsea almost every type of collection they had.

"That's great. How about relaxing at the beach?"

"I'd be happy to show you, Ma'am," the staff member replied, presenting the 'Beachy Keen' style collection featuring various comfortable swimsuits. Chelsea enthusiastically watched as the staff member confidently demonstrated the collection in front of her. "Would you like to try them on?"

Chelsea checked the time and moved closer to the clothes being shown to her, touching a few while trying to chat about someone in the room across from her.

"I don't have time to try them on because I need to go somewhere else soon. Please adjust them to my size."

"Which style would you like to take, Ma'am?"

"All the ones you've shown me," Chelsea replied.

The staff member was taken aback, almost dropping her jaw in surprise.

"I like someone who is enthusiastic and confident, reminding me of my childhood when I was eager for something I wanted, even if it's just for work-it's understandable," Chelsea added.

"Thank you very much, Ma'am," the staff member said, bowing in respect. "I'll pack the clothes for you right away."

"Alright, take this. I want to check on someone from the room across," Chelsea said, pulling out a 'Centurion Card' from her bag.

Wasn't that excessive? Only a handful of people could have the most exclusive Centurion Card from American Express. The card was black, made of metal, and had a luxurious and premium design.

"Find me in the room across."

"Yes, Ma'am." The staff member hurried to process Chelsea's purchases while holding her super exclusive card. She needed many boxes and other staff members to help with the task.

Meanwhile, Chelsea moved towards the room across.

"Maybe by imitating Shirley's style, I can have it. Besides, that woman has already fled to another country. Jonas must be expecting someone like her, right?"

"Even though Shirley is gone, his wife is also very beautiful. I think it's hard for you to get him."

"Impossible. I know that man is currently vulnerable and heartbroken. Their marriage was just a business alliance; Jonas didn't love her. If I can just be his mistress, I'd be happy." Her tone conveyed absolute confidence.

"When a man is vulnerable, it's easier to slip into his life. Don't you know?"

"I'm not sure. I've heard that Jonas was asking his colleagues about Shirley's whereabouts. What if he's planning to follow her?"

"He's doing that because forgetting someone is difficult. My presence can replace Shirley's if I try harder. This is a good opportunity." Despite her friend's advice, she remained stubborn.

Chelsea was curious about the owner of the voice since they mentioned 'Jonas Li' and 'Shirley' without pause. It caught her attention and disturbed her calmness while dealing with the staff in the next room.

Chelsea wouldn't hesitate to barge in, walking elegantly and haughtily with her chin held high. Her silver stilettos accentuated her long legs, standing at 165 cm.

What she saw was two women sitting side by side on a leather sofa, with a staff member kneeling in front of one of them, putting on heels for the customer.

Chelsea felt satisfied recognizing one of them; they had met before when Chelsea caught the woman in Jonas's office. It was June, Jonas's secretary, who had been pursuing Jonas since his relationship with Shirley.

The staff member immediately stood up and bowed when Chelsea slowed down her pace between some accessory racks displaying collections of bags, shoes, and jewelry.

"Welcome, Ma'am. I thought a staff member was already attending to you."

Chelsea nodded, her eyes briefly focusing on June and her companion, who were taken aback by her unexpected appearance.

"Yes. He's processing my purchases, but something in this room is more interesting. Can you show me anything?"

"Of course, I can-"

"Hey! Aren't you handling mine? It's very rude to suddenly attend to another customer when I'm not finished." June snapped curtly, reprimanding the staff member. She stood up, gazing at Chelsea without hesitation.

"If you already have a staff member attending to you, then wait for them. It's impolite to cut in on someone else's service."

"Someone else, huh?" Chelsea sneered.

The staff member who had been attending to Chelsea's needs appeared hurriedly in the room.

"Ma'am Chelsea, sorry for the wait. Other staff members will send the items to your car immediately." The staff who had previously taken care of the chelsea purchase had returned in a hurry.

Chelsea's expression and demeanor changed drastically when facing the staff member; she became warm and smiled friendly.

"It's not your fault. Can I know your name, Miss staff?"

"My name is Chen Lize, Ma'am."

"Ah, Miss Chen, I'd really like to know your opinion."

"Yes, Ma'am? What would you like to ask?" She stood right next to Chelsea.

Chelsea's eyes returned to June, still standing in front of the sofa. The eye contact between them showed hostility, but Chelsea seemed more dismissive.

"What do you think about taking someone else's property?"

Chen Lize was taken aback, exchanging glances with her colleague before realizing the tension in the room.

"Certainly not something good," Chen Lize replied, bowing her head.

"And what about someone who tries to get close to another woman's husband? Isn't that despicable? I found her sitting in front of my husband's desk in his office. If I hadn't shown up, she might have undressed in front of Jonas." Chelsea's sneer widened. "Do you think her behavior is disgusting, Miss Chen?"

"That-"

"HEY! WHAT DO YOU MEAN! YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT ME, HUH!" June's anger flared up, and she took large strides towards Chelsea. "How can you, a woman who's taken someone else's partner and married him by force, talk about this in front of me? Are you crazy?"

"Good grief, June. Watch your attitude," her companion stood up, touching her arm.

"Ma'am, please don't fight here." The two staff members became tense and confused, as both women they were dealing with were exclusive customers who required special treatment. This commotion put them in a dilemma.

"You? Forced him to marry me? Jonas should have run away back then, but he's still lying next to me every night until this moment. It's clear that the man you love values his family more than his ex-girlfriend. You know that?"

"You!" June pointed at Chelsea without hesitation. "I don't care how extraordinary your family background is; you're no better than me when it comes to wanting Jonas."

"What? You mean I should compete with a woman who loves someone else's husband? How can I be that low?"

Slap!

June's palm landed smoothly on Chelsea's face, as she couldn't contain her anger. The shouts from the staff members and June's companion added to the tense atmosphere.

"Watch your mouth, Chelsea Moon!"

Chelsea's first reaction was to throw her bag to the floor, not caring about its expensive value. Her boiling anger needed to be cooled down immediately.
