Chelsea yanked June's hair to the side with brute force, as if trying to break her neck, and slapped her across the face. The elegant figure of Chelsea that Chen Lize had previously seen had completely transformed. From a poised woman to a ferocious and intimidating figure, attacking her opponent mercilessly.
Although Chelsea had hit her, June hadn't retaliated yet. She was too busy trying to pry Chelsea's fingers out of her hair. This weakness emboldened Chelsea, who stomped on June's foot and kicked her knee, leaving it bruised.
"You crazy bitch, Chelsea Moon!" June shouted, while the staff tried to intervene in the one-sided fight.
June's cries and the staff's attempts to separate them drew more people to the scene, including June's colleagues who took advantage of the situation to record the chaos unfolding before them.
Chelsea laughed loudly. "I love fighting, and I love how you bring out the worst in me, Miss June."
Chen Lize finally managed to pull Chelsea back after she released her grip on June's hair, who had stumbled after being kicked in the right calf.
"I'll never let you get away with this, I'll sue you for assault, Chelsea Moon!" June shouted again, while the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly tense and volatile. The CCTV cameras captured every move they made without exception.
The staff and June's colleagues helped her up and escorted her to a sofa. She looked bruised in several areas of her face due to Chelsea's brutal attack, her hair was disheveled, and some strands were scattered on the floor.
June's condition was starkly different from Chelsea's, who only had a faint red mark on her cheek, while the rest of her face was flawless and beautiful as usual.
"Ma'am, here's your bag," Chen Lize said nervously as she handed the bag to Chelsea.
"Thank you, Miss Chen," Chelsea replied, flicking her hair back.
Daniel Jiang, Chelsea's assistant, finally appeared and saw his employer in a seemingly unruffled state. "Ma'am, are you okay?" Daniel asked with concern. Chelsea just smirked and watched June, who was still on the phone, fuming.
The two were later summoned to the manager's office to make amends, but neither of them was willing to back down or apologize. June continued to curse and shout at Chelsea without restraint, while Chelsea remained nonchalant, rolling her eyes.
Daniel Jiang sighed and shook his head, resigned to his employer's attitude. He knew Chelsea could handle conflicts like this without needing anyone's help.
When June went to fetch someone outside the manager's office, she looked confident and determined. "That's my brother! He's going to take Chelsea down for assaulting me!" June exclaimed, gloating triumphantly at Chelsea.
"What did you do that required me to come here so quickly, June? Brother is in the middle of an important meeting with someone else," the man said, wearing glasses and a gray suit, seemingly about the same height as Jonas if they stood side by side.
"Her!" June pointed at Chelsea, who was sitting in the corner of the room. "That woman assaulted me. Doesn't Brother see that my cheek is red, and my knee and foot are bruised from the wild woman's attack?"
"Is that true?" Leon Wu examined the details June mentioned, and his words proved to be true. He turned to the alleged assailant. "You—"
Chelsea stood up, looking at him without hesitation. "Yes, me. What about it?"
Leon Wu was taken aback, swallowing dryly as if mesmerized by her figure. Chelsea's face flashed in his mind, and Leon had to choose one by one the right names for the woman with the Moon surname.
"Have we met before?" Leon tried to recall fragments of memory from the corners of his head. "Yes, I'm sure we've met. Aren't you Jonas Li's wife?"
"Thanks for remembering me even though I don't remember you."
June hissed, grabbing her brother's arm. "Brother must know her because he attended their wedding."
"Ah, you're right, June." Leon smiled warmly, extending his hand to Chelsea. "My name is Leon, June's brother and Jonas's colleague."
Chelsea greeted him with a friendly smile. "Nice to meet you."
"So—"
"Brother, don't be so friendly with her!" June's anger grew as she saw Leon's warm demeanor towards her enemy. "She assaulted me! That woman assaulted your sister!"
"Ugh, calm down, June. Behave yourself in front of others. How can you be so brutal?" Leon felt embarrassed by June's harsh words. "We can discuss this calmly, negotiate without hitting each other."
"She started it!"
"Miss June, didn't you slap her first? Shouldn't we check the CCTV?"
"You! You!" June almost reached for Chelsea's face if Leon hadn't quickly pulled her back. "You're so annoying! Where's Jonas? You should call him here so he knows how violent his wife is!"
"Jonas?" Chelsea chuckled lightly. "My husband is working. Why would I bother him? I'm perfectly capable of handling you on my own, Miss June. I'm a single daughter, so I don't have a brother like you, and I had to defend myself."
Her expression turned sad. "What nonsense! Don't try to provoke others with your lies! Even if you did slap me, you retaliated more, damn it!"
"Ah, so you want to retaliate again?" Chelsea's spirit returned in a flash, and she gathered her hair back. "Does Miss June want to strangle my neck? Twist it? Scratch my face? Or kick my stomach?"
"You're crazy, Chelsea Moon!" June's hands, with white-painted nails, itched to grab and crush Chelsea, but Leon always managed to pull his sister back.
"Enough, June."
The manager cleared his throat, seemingly invisible among them, and stood up, trying to mediate again.
"Sir and Madam, could we resolve this in the easiest way possible? I deeply regret this situation between you both, especially happening in our boutique. I'll avoid anything that could harm our business in the future, even if it means deleting the CCTV footage of the incident so no one can access it."
Various bad thoughts filled his head as he dealt with the two stubborn women, making it harder to discuss solutions. He hoped they would continue their debate elsewhere.
"WHAT! HOW CAN YOU BE SO INCONSIDERATE OF CUSTOMERS HERE, HUH! I'VE SUFFERED A LOT OF LOSSES!!"
The situation escalated further, with the manager also acting annoyingly, even seeming to throw dirt in June's face in front of everyone.
"Miss, before your brother arrived, we discussed this for thirty minutes, but you both remained stubborn, and now that your brother is here, you're still doing the same thing." The manager openly showed his frustration, feeling exhausted and wanting to disappear from the scene.
Why didn't one of them apologize? Then they left with a sense of relief.
Leon sighed, his face hardening as he gazed sharply at June, gripping her wrist as if warning her further. "On June's behalf, I sincerely apologize to you, Manager." Leon bowed politely for a moment. "I'll take June home and discuss this with her there."
"Brother, how could you!" June wanted to pounce on everyone in the place, why was she being intimidated while Chelsea was left alone?
"Thank you for your understanding, Sir." The manager also bowed politely.
"I also apologize to Miss Chelsea for June's childish behavior." Leon's expression remained gentle when facing Jonas's wife.
"JUNE!!!" It was as if everyone had poured a bucket of cold water over her head.
Chelsea just nodded casually, allowing Leon to drag her sister away from there, smiling satisfied as she regained her victory that had been delayed.
"Manager, I'll take responsibility for any losses resulting from this situation." Now her elegant mask was back in place.
"It's okay, Miss. We can still handle it. We're glad you visited and purchased many items."
"Ah, that's not enough. However, I'm at fault for causing the commotion, and June—"
"I understand. If there are any fatal losses, I'll definitely contact you."
"Thank you, Manager." Chelsea bowed politely, then left with her personal driver.
