Chapter 8
POV: Zhang Wei
*Bang*
"Ugh."
I groaned in pain as I felt myself get kicked hard, flying back and hitting a pillar, causing cracks to form.
"Tsk, weak!"
My big brother said as he stood in front of me, gazing down with arrogance, as if he were looking at a bug.
"Big brother, I..."
I wasn't able to finish my words before he kicked me again in the face, my head snapping back from the force.
"Don't call me that. I have no brother that's as weak as you."
He said, causing my heart to sink in pain.
"Brot..."
I tried to say while raising my hand to him, but he only slapped it away, contempt painted all over his face.
"Shut up, bug. You've humiliated our family. Don't even think about talking to me ever again."
And with that, he gave me one last kick, causing me to retch in pain. He simply tutted and left, never looking back as I lay there broken, my mind racing through how I got to this point.
As I lay there contemplating, my thoughts turned to Li Yun—that bastard. Thinking back to that time...
After he beat me and left, I was found by the guards, who hurriedly carried me to a doctor. But while being carried, I felt as if I was paraded throughout the city, the gazes of the people burning into me.
Their mocking gazes infuriated me.
"Haha, serves him right."
"Finally, someone taught him a lesson."
"Tsk, they should've just killed him. Why keep that bastard alive?"
Their hate-filled words filled me with a burning anger.
"You peasants, you don't have the right to mock me. You all are just ants—my slaves."
I thought, fury clouding my mind, the only thing driving me now was revenge.
"I own everything and everyone. You are nothing!!!"
I screamed internally as I took sharp, ragged breaths.
"Li Yun, you bastard... I'll kill your whole family and parade your body through the city for your god to see!!!"
I roared out in rage, unable to handle the weight of my fury. I spat out blood before my vision started to darken.
But not before I saw a black feather fall onto my lap.

POV: ???
"Hmm, what a lovely child."
I hummed in delight as I gazed at the battered Zhang Wei laying there. I squatted to his level, my wings tucked in, and picked up my fallen feather from his lap.
Examining the feather, I chuckled creepily.
"Huhu, you've encountered one of God's disciples. How curious."
I tilted my head, turning my gaze back to his unconscious form.
"Such hate for God... even though he doesn't believe in Him."
A sharp, toothy smile spread across my face as a flame manifested in the hand holding the feather, burning it. I leaned into his ear.
"You are a good vessel. Be reborn and serve me as the first general of Hell."
As the feather turned to ash, I blew on it, causing the ash to scatter—but it moved as if under control, forming a glowing pentagram inscribed with demonic symbols.
The circle turned red as I placed a hand on his head. Blood-like veins ran across his entire body as smoke began to seep out. I smirked and whispered:
"Rise, my general—the sin of wrath."
Flames erupted from the pentagram, engulfing his body. I uttered the name:
"SATAN."

POV: 3rd Person
*Muttering*
Within the ruins of a house, Elias knelt, unperturbed, continuing his prayer. Suddenly, his prayer halted.
He exhaled sharply, a burst of white mist escaping his mouth, covering the entire house. For several minutes, the house was completely obscured by the mist.
Then, as quickly as it came, the mist dispersed. In its place stood a fully repaired house.
*Cring*
The door creaked open, and Elias stepped out. His gaze turned toward Green Jade City, worry evident in his eyes.
"Oh God, a great evil has awakened. Why have you permitted the release of the first fallen? I fear he will bring chaos into this world. Please, answer my questions."
He begged, but the heavens remained silent. He could still feel God's presence, but no answer was given.
Realizing he would receive no response, he shook his head with a gentle smile.
"I understand, my Lord. If You cannot answer my prayer, I can only find my own answers."
As if in agreement, a white glow enveloped him.
"Thank you, God."
He whispered, his gaze returning to the city, concern heavy in his chest for the Li family and Li Yun.
"May God keep you safe."
He prayed quietly, lowering his head to his cross.
