Chapter 24 - CH 23 BLESSING -2

Prerna, while telling the story to Sun, says that this story is several hundred years old. There once lived a great warrior named Ruka, who was a loyal soldier and a trustworthy man of the founding emperor. However, Ruka was also a very cruel man. He had misused his position countless times to commit terrible deeds. One day, when the emperor found out about this, he sentenced Ruka and his entire family to death. Upon hearing the sentence, Ruka went to the emperor and pleaded his case, but the emperor remained firm in his decision. Seeing this, Ruka became very angry and vowed to take revenge. On the day of the execution, when Ruka and his family were about to be hanged, for some reason, Ruka was saved, but his entire family was killed.

Say that when Ruka and his family members were killed, they were thrown into the river, but Ruka was still breathing. A fisherman saw Ruka in the river and brought him to his home, where he treated him. The fisherman's village was a small settlement near the river, located quite far from the capital.

When Ruka opened his eyes and he did something terrible. He killed all the people in the fisherman village—children, women, no one was spared. He killed them all, not even leaving a single person alive. After Ruka recovered, he started doing even more terrible things and causing destruction, and whenever he goes, he causes destruction, things we couldn't even imagine. In his rage, Ruka was mad and didn't understand what he was doing. In a way, he was enjoying all the destruction he caused.

When the devil saw Ruka causing so much destruction, he was very pleased and granted Ruka many powers. With these powers, Ruka became extremely powerful. Now that he possessed such strength, he planned to kill the emperor who had killed Ruka's family. Knowing that Ruka was coming to attack, the emperor called upon his entire army and neighbouring emperors for help. The day finally came when Ruka arrived at the capital city. Ruka had become so powerful that he defeated the emperor and his entire army alone. However, Ruka was not satisfied with just this; he went on to destroy the entire empire. The secret of Ruka's power was that the worse things he did, the more powerful he became. Eventually, Ruka grew so strong that he killed the devil who had given him his powers.

Ruka had become so powerful that it was very difficult to stop him. Seeing this, the gods and goddesses decided to bless several powerful individuals with their powers and power called blessing. Many people had now become quite strong, and they decided to defeat Ruka. When they fought Ruka, they realized that he had become so powerful that killing him was nearly impossible. Therefore, they decided to imprison him instead. Together, they succeeded in capturing Ruka. Seeing this, the gods and goddesses were pleased and, as a gift to humanity, they bestowed this blessing upon them.

Prerna, understanding Sun, says, "So, when will this talented individual start receiving blessings? Some also say that one day Ruka escaped imprisonment and returned, so we must be prepared. That's why we have received these blessings." Sun replies to Prerna, "Okay, I understand what you're saying, but how will I receive these blessings?" Prerna says, "There's no official rule, but it is a tradition of our Rawat Empire that at the age of 17, children go to the temple to receive blessings from the gods and goddesses." Sun says, "I heard that tomorrow is your birthday and you will turn 17." Ravi answers, "Yes, that's true." Prerna says, "Great! So tomorrow you will come with me to the temple to perform the ritual so we can receive your blessings." Sun becomes happy and says, "Alright, that sounds good." Suddenly, Sun thinks and asks, "Prerna, do you know anything about the gift?"

The sun asks Prerna, "Did you receive the blessing?" Prerna replies, "I received the blessing last year." The sun, happily, then asks Prerna, "So, tell me, what is your blessing?"
