Chapter 10 - Chapter 12: The Proposal

‎The man's smile was mesmerizing, but Anne's instincts remained on high alert. She had no idea what he wanted, but she was determined to find out.

‎"Who are you?" And what did you want from me" she asked, her voice firm.

‎"My name is Julian St. Clair," he replied, his eyes never leaving hers. "And I believe we can mutually benefit from each other's... expertise." Also I got news that you wanted to talk to me and here I am.

‎Anne raised an eyebrow. "What kind of expertise?"

‎Julian leaned forward, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "The kind that can take down our common enemies and elevate us to the top of the business world."

‎Anne's mind was racing. What did he know about her enemies? And what did he mean by "mutually benefit"?

‎"I'm listening," she said, her voice cautious.

‎Julian smiled again. "I have resources, connections, and influence. You have intelligence, determination, and a ruthless streak. Together, we can achieve greatness."

‎Anne's eyes narrowed. "What's in it for you?"

‎Julian's smile grew wider. "Let's just say I have a... vision for the business world. And I believe you're the key to making it happen."

‎Anne's gut told her that this was a deal that could change everything. But could she trust Julian St. Clair?

‎Anne's mind was racing as she considered Julian's proposal. She had always been a lone wolf, relying on her own wits and resources to get ahead. But the more she thought about it, the more she realized that partnering with Julian could be the key to taking her business to the next level.

‎"What exactly do you propose?" she asked, her voice measured.

‎Julian leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with intensity. "I propose that we form a strategic alliance. We'll work together to take down our common enemies and expand our respective businesses. With my resources and your intelligence, we can dominate the market."

‎Anne's eyes narrowed. "And what's to stop you from double-crossing me?"

‎Julian smiled. "I give you my word. For now, our interests align. Let's work together and see where it takes us."

‎Anne hesitated, weighing the risks and benefits. She knew that partnering with Julian would be a gamble, but it could also be the opportunity of a lifetime.

‎"Okay," she said finally. "I'll do it. But if you betray me, you'll regret it."

‎Julian's smile grew wider. "I wouldn't have it any other way, Anne. Let's shake on it and make it official."

‎As they shook hands, Anne felt a spark of electricity run through her body. She knew that this partnership would change everything. The question was, would it be for better or for worse?
